I think that's what was suggested at the beginning of the thread, the current system being based on post count :) Obviously that doesn't mean spamming your count up, but basic participation on the forums is easy enough.

I agree with J-Gao that there should be some way to incorporate Wiki work into credit or post system or whatever ultimately ends up being the method used. I know that'll be harder to track though since Wiki accounts are different than forum accounts. Would likely require some manual bookkeeping if you couldn't script a process to do it for you.

how many posts would you need? And I'm not just gonna randomly post

I agree with Wyl and Marvin Card, taking away the block on just viewing/posting in that forum would be nice; and letting those that are up for requests set(or have a standardized value to avoid hassle) a credit value for them would also be fair.

I just know I joined this site and wiki to be a part of the community and to help spread whatever nugget of knowledge I can, and this current rule restriction doesn't seem in-line with that community wiki feel.

I definitely agree with tgjason. Blocking parts of the forum from people who don't post enough seems a little mean. It might eben turn away members. I know I first found this site too find, NOT ASK FOR, success moide charcters. I wouldn't be surprised if others have too. Now being blocked from looking at parts of the forum. I'm not thinking too well of this site.

I'll temporarily lower the post count restriction until we can find a better alternative as soon as I can get access to the control panel. Anyone who has contributed to the forum even remotely should have access at that time.

Well, if you have access then you do :)

I still don't have access. Its annoying because they want you to contribute to the site, I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of my best success mode players. If I had access I would put it up.

Fundamentally I don't disagree with asking you to give back and not just take. Forums with lots of regulars are generally more fun than forums that only have a handful of people talking to each other :)

Even if you aren't as refined a player as some others here, it doesn't mean what you have to offer is any less welcome. We're all still discovering new things about this game and teaching each other. I don't think any one of us would claim to know everything about the game or to have the absolute perfect approach to doing Success Mode, or whatever. I like hanging out and participating here of course because I love the game, but also because in the process of sharing experiences and information I'm getting back from others at least as much as I'm giving, if not more.

I like the idea of "buying players" based on quality. I also think you should get more than 5 points to post a player.

Maybe new people could start out with a small amount of points (enough to buy a low quality player) to motivate them to contribute and work their way up to buying a star player.

Also you should be able to trade. It would stink if you made several great players and posted them but then still couldn't afford to buy someone else's player of equal abilities.
