I came to these forums to talk about Power Pros, but there has been no recent topics or anything in those sections. If we want this forum to regain popularity, we have to talk about the actual game and not just topics like "What are you listening to?"

Easier said than done. Hardly anyone plays the game anymore. If you really wanted to talk about Power Pros, you should have shown up 4-5 years ago

Yeah, but I know people on this forum still play the game. The only reason I still come is because of Erisa Dude's season mode log. Even Zero's MLB the Show thread seems like it is over.

Why's that?

When all the teams are taken you can be sure that there will be a lot of activity on that log.

Alright, well that's good at least. Still, I want to talk about Power Pros and people just aren't posting on those threads anymore.

Let's be honest here, power pros is 99% dead, the 1% is the fact that the forum still exists. Every facet of the game is so well tuned there is nothing left to do, sorry :(

Pretty much, I've gotten through one season in my log but I've lost interest. Maybe it'll come back in popularity here but right ow the forum is just a casual place to discuss baseball, talk with others and have a general good time.

I dusted off the old PS2 the other day just because I wanted so bad to play it. I loved it more for the Wii with my newer-ish TV (it just looked better) but that broke. I kept telling myself I'm gonna update it and then I'll play it but time just seems to always get away from me. I think if I ever get around to doing it, the yearly upkeep of it would be easier and I probably would play it more. Also having my wii would increase my interest. I haven't talked about it here because I haven't really played it. When I do come here, I ask questions to people about how THEY are editing/updating their game to keep the re-playability. Sometimes I get answers and sometimes I don't. So I hit a wall and feel like I'm never going to move forward with the whole project. If I had a new next-gen and a new power pros was out, I'd be all over it. And I think most people here would be too. But it's been too long and becomes too time-consuming to keep it fresh. But I still love it and will keep coming back here to see if that love strikes someone else to do something about it.

I didn't get power pros when it first came out. I discovered in in 2010 - it actually was highly rated as a good sports game for those who are "video game challenged" because of all the settings to make games harder or easier. Anyway, I've been hooked on season mode ever since, probably averaging a game a day since 2010.

Never quite understood the attraction of success mode and baseball life, even though that's what most seem to enjoy. Seems like a lot of reading and very little action to me.

Still, how can you say no one plays anymore when folks are constantly posting about the players they created?

I've found myself playing it a lot more in the summer. That's when my log and roster updates resume. Once the rosters are updated, I'll probably start more seasons (non-log). I still find the game and Season Mode fun - just get more time to play in summertime.

It's called having a story, something other sports games don't have

I'm basically forced to play Power Pros right now. My PS3 is upstairs, and our A/C upstairs is not working. But my mom has a Wii downstairs and therefore I can play it. I'm rediscovering why I liked these games in the first place.

You could say that. I still can't hit to save my life in Success mode...
