I like your roster update, dusty, but I don't think Gregorio Petit of all pitchers deserves A control...

By the formulas I believe were agreed upon he certainly qualifies.
I felt like giving him mediocre pitches and having not much of a FB would make for an accurate player. I'm a Giants obsessive. Dude throws strikes.
Perhaps the formula that determines Control should be adjusted?

I don't think anyone deserves A control, unless they are known as an all-star pitcher around the league. A control is a bit overpowering.

I'm going to post the ratings for the whole Royals team for anyone who wants them.
Besides, that's an old version, he's a Gold Glover now, and tends to Pull the ball.
I would argue for Good or Great Catcher, but I'm not sure of the criteria.

1. Rivera has not even earned a Good Catcher ability yet. He's a rookie. His defensive numbers seem pretty high as well.

2. Longoria's power is about 40 points too high, he was good but not great in 2015.
And his defensive numbers could all come down about two points.

1. Rivera is no rookie, he's 31, and in 600 career PAs (the equivalent of a full season) he has been 27 defensive runs above average, about the same as Andrelton Simmons, and that's not counting framing, which he is top-5 in in the league and was 12 runs above average in that last year. All together, thats 39 runs above average in one season alone, which would make him the best defensive player in all of baseball.

2. Longo's numbers were down all around last year due to a dropoff in BABIP, which he has no control over and he'll bounce back from it in 2015. I'll go down to 150 with his power and scale back his fielding to a 12 if that's better. His arm is right, as he has a cannon

My bad. But in my defense, Rivera was a Padre in 2014, so this is probably the first time his name has appeared in print. Definetly deserves GrtCatcher based on his defensive numbers.

I still call Small Sample Size. A few small cups of coffee spread out over multiple seasons does not an absolute make.

how does Alcantara get 140 power, most HRs he's had is 15 in 133 games. Only topped 10 in the last two years.

He hit 20 total last year between AAA and the bigs, and he always seems to run a fairly high ISO

122 power would be about right for an ISO of .162
And please don't bring AAA homers into the discussion, it's poor form

The MLE for HRs is currently .8 for AAA, which would equate his homers to 18 I guess, so my bad on that
