I got Dr. Goodjob 3 times with one player!

Was making a character for a team themed around Football players playing Baseball in their off season, was making the Kicker... got Dr. Good Job REALLY early while on the Green Apples, operation failed, so i thought... no biggie... he's a kicker so if he sucks it's expected.

Kept playing, and he showed up again, this time when my player asked who he was he said something like "What you don't remember me, you must really be out of shape!".

Did the surgery again, was successful.

Then he showed up again like i'd say... a month later somehow.... successful surgery again.

Another Dr. Goodjob sighting... Year 2, when the calendar switches from the 3rd to the 4th week of August (before Sittch leaves). I told him I want to become stronger, the procedure was a complete failure.

BTW, I wasn't even trying to get him, I'm using an old save file to A) see what happens at the end if the likability on two girls (Lucy and Patty) are 100% and B) see if it's possible to change the character's name after the final game.

Anyway, after finishing with this I'm tempted to make a backup of the save file and progress the game to the 1st week of August for year two and do a lot of quitting and loading just to test how often Dr. Goodjob appears around those dates.

Well, to answer your questions about the ones you were trying to do: You won't get the abilities from both girls, you'll only get the abilities from the one you went steady with first, and it isn't possible to change the name of a player after the final game (but if you put him in Season Mode, you can do that, but you probably mean in success mode, so...).

No catfight? They at least should both dump you for being a no good two-timing jerk (just like real life athletes).

And yes, I want to change the name of a success mode player. Too bad it can't be done because I want to share the "ultimate player" I have mentioned in several posts, but not with the name he now has (I always use my real name in Success Mode).

Guess the only thing left is to quit and load until my brain dries out to see how often Dr. Goodjob appears before and after Sittch leaves the team.

First of all, sorry for the double post (the last one is almost a month old, I guess it's OK).

I have an update on the Dr. Goodjob sightings and a question.

The last few days I did some testing to see how often I could get Dr. Goodjob to appear during the month of August for Year 2. I started doing this because when I was advancing the game to check how many commands I had left (with and without Carryover Chocolate) I got him without even trying before Gil explains that he and Duke got fired from the Galaxy Sharks (during the without CC test; I chose "Become Stronger", signed the waiver and the procedure was an epic fail) and before Sittch quits the team (during the with CC test; I chose "Become Stronger", signed the waiver, and the procedure was a success).

The results of my test were:
Day 1: Year 2, August, After Sittch leaves (Shift between August W4 and September W1). Very low vitality. Spent 31 minutes and he appeared after the 45th try. I chose "Become Stronger", signed the waiver, and the procedure was a success.
Day 2: Year 2, August, Before Gil (Shift between weeks 2 and 3). Very low vitality. Made 52 tries, no show (wasted 40 minutes)
Day 3: Year 2, August, Before Gil. Very low vitality. Tried around 50 more times (didn't count the number or time), no show
Day 4: Year 2, August, Before Gil. Very low vitality. Spent 13 minutes and he appeared after the 15th try. I chose "Become Stronger", signed the waiver, and the procedure was a success. Saved the game.
Day 5: Year 2, August, Before Sittch leaves (Shift between weeks 3 and 4). Very high vitality (because I saved after day 4). Tried 50 times (lost track of time because I did some other things during the test), no show.
Day 6: Year 2, August, Before Sittch leaves. Very high vitality. Between 30 and 40 minutes (didn't count the number or time), no show.

After the latest no show, I decided to check the forum and found another Dr. Goodjob topic were lanceberkman asks if it's possible to get him with high vitality, which made me think that it might be better recover my MLBPP08 save file from my backup memory card instead of insisting on getting Goodjob with high vitality.

While looking at the forums I noticed that AnthonyP mentioned that he was trying to get him on the 3rd week of April of year 1. Since I don't remember seeing Goodjob on any other month, I did some Google search and found a guy in the Gamfaqs forum who claims that he appeared on the second week of year one.

Now my question, besides August of year 2, which other months have you seen the good old doctor appear?

Plain and simple, Dr. Goodjob is eligible to appear at the end of any week when a Random Event is also eligible to occur. The odds of his appearance at any given time coincides directly with the total number of eligible Random Events that are available. Fewer RE's available, better odds that Dr. Goodjob will appear.

Well I keep trying at the change of year 2 August week 4 to September week 1. Will it happen then?
