This new success mode is too easy!!

I could have made an all A guy like the first time I ever even played it, just by saving every day. It's way too easy to get surprise bags, gambling rings and rare abilities from Re's. I haven't seen GJ yet, but it seems that he is easier to get too.

07' was more challenging IMO.

It's easy to make characters good, it's sorta hard to pass characters, I hate that I have to do a certain practice to impress the coach and/or scout, so I always buy princes necklace now and it has definitely helped me, it helped me fill up my Jay Bruce character's scout evaluation bar all the way.

I usually end up with too much money anyway so why not buy the prince's necklace

Fielders really are a lot easier to pass than Pitchers. However you most definitely do not need the prince's necklace or anything. Basically at the very start of the game you have to practice where the coach is. You'll get benched for the first game no matter what - but you'll definitely be in for the second.

Then - you simply save before every game. The general rule of thumb is that if you "did pretty well" according to yourself during the game then you're clear and your scout rating should go up a lot. (Over 10 points at least.) If you only did ok.... or it wasn't that bad.... then reload the game.

Check your EVAL if you're not sure if you're getting enough scout points. You should generally speaking be practicing where the coach is all the time anyways as I swear he helps you out and makes it much harder to get injured/get crappy points/etc. As long as you do that then the scout and coach will never be a problem. By the time I finished my first game in triple A I had already cleared the requirement to get into the majors and I never used perfume or the necklace with my pitcher.

Here is how I approach success mode. In AA, I don't practice much (4th week of every month). If you look at your 'eval' screen on AA you will see that there is no starter line for Coach. This is because you automatically become a starter on the AA team. I try and work and complete the random events training (Siitch and Frank) during this time. I also try and get at least 2 sometimes 3 events for week 4 so I can have 3 practices in a row that get a bonus. I also focus on one category during the first year since coach's eval is irrelevant (for instance I just created a guy who is going into AAA with a 15 in speed). Once you get to AAA you have to check your practices every event to see if the coach is watching. If the coach is watching you must practice. It will be pretty hard to win success mode if you aren't playing in games (since your scout eval bar won't go up). I have had about 3 players win the game even though the team lost early.

If I am doing something like get food to replenish my vitality, I just reload and keep doing that until the coach is in the practice that I want to do, it makes it so much easier because then I don't have to do some pointless practice that I don't want to do.
