Post subject:  Garrett House Success Mode Log

Hi, I'm Garrett House, 3B for the Colorado Rockies Double A affiliate-the Green Apples. I am recording a log so that once I get to the majors, people can look at this to see my thoughts throughout my minor league career. I was drafted by the Rockies out of College, but I didn't always set my dreams on baseball. I started playing just to beat this kid who lived down tell street from me-Jonathan, who always dated Lucy, who is my dream girl. I started practicing when it hit me- I could really make a career out of this. I was extremely happy that my best friend friend Marvin-my childhood neighbor, was drafted by the Rockies too. I did fantastic last year in Single-A, hitting .330 with 5 home runs for the Red Apples. Marvin did great too, hitting .345 as our Red Apples beat the Black Wild for the Single-A championship- I hit what would be the game-deciding home run. I just recently got called up to the Double-A Green Apples, where I plan to beat Jonathan for the champiomship, get Lucy, and make it to the major leagues!

So did you guys like my log? If so could you please follow?

February Week 1 Year 1:
I met Marvin in the Locker room and talked about how great it was that we made it to Double-A. William, the GM came in and told us that if we practice, we'll get better and can be scouted to Triple-A. Well, I knew this process since the exact same thing happened with the Red Apples and basically every other minor league team, but I was nice and listened. He told us that if we don't play well, we get fired. Thanks William, no pressure at all! Anyway, Marvin and I just went to the batting cage afterwards and worked on our hitting. I'll update this the second week of February.

February Week 2 Year 1:
William introduced us to our teammates. Most of them look exactly the same for some reason, but two who stood out we're Frank and Tom. Frank said he plays outfield, and then Tom, the catcher, barged in to introduce himself. He said it might take is 100 years to get to play, so I shot back by saying "Sure thing, Grandpa." That was pretty funny. But then William the GM said he's 25 years old! He really does look 100. Anyways, William doesn't really know anything about practice, so Tom gave us some tips. I practiced in the batting cage again with Marvin.

February Week 3 Year 1:
I found out William knows absolutely nothing about baseball. Why the organization even hired him I have no idea. Wise Master Tom taught us more about practice. I then practiced. Not a very exciting week.

February Week 4 Year 1:
I met some weirdo kid on the street today who was talking about these carryover points, text history, practice points... I'm like dude, I don't know what your talking about and he told me to crack open a manual sometime?????????? I practiced baserunning in front of a scout today.

March Week 1 Year 1:
So we had payday today. Marvin told me that if I subtract the cost of our living expenses from our salary, we only get $100 bucks. Well, he was right. Oh! I forgot to mention a new teammate, Sittch, who says he is is a spy as well as a pitcher. He looks good enough to help the Rockies in the future. I also met Ben, who owns the hot dog shop, for the first time since I was with the Single-A Red Apples, and he gave me the Duck's Spicy Special, which was delicious. It sure was an eventful week!

March Week 2 Year 1:
I met a guy on the street today who asked me if I wanted advice. Well, I said no, getting advice from strangers isn' t a good idea. He said he liked me and gave me a discount coupon for the new shop, called Bison's. I found out that guy's name is Bison, and I went to his store, where I bought a Prince's Necklace and some Carryover Chocolate.

March Week 3 Year 1:
The season is finally next week, as Marvin reminded me today. As I was getting revved up, he told me that we haven't even been put on the bench yet. I guess that motivated me, as I did well in practice today.

March Week 4 Year 1:
William told Marvin in I that we are going to the ballpark as alternates for our first game. I knew that means all we do is sit on the bench, but Marvin and I tried to hide our disappointment to make William feel better. I wish Tom had more confidence in us, but I guess I'll have to prove him wrong. It was intensified practice week also, so I trained real hard.

April Week 1 Year 1:
I saw Jonathan before our game against the Wildjokers. Lucy was with him. I really can't stand that jerk, always picking on me calling Marvin and I "no-names", because we're on the bench. Our team got our revenge by beating them 1-0 but Jonathan brushed me off after the game! I really can't stand that jerk (repeating myself, I know) and I wish Lucy would just break up with him.

April Week 2 Year 1:
I remember as a kid those times Lucy had with Jonathan, and how that's how I started playing baseball. I went to the lake to clear my mind and practice and guess who was there: Sittch! He told me I could be a ninja, so I tried it and liked it. It sounds preposterous, I know, but it really helped with my baseball.

April Week 3 Year 1:
I met a lady on the street who says that I had to taste some steak. It was a Hanabero Pepper Steak. Let's just say that did not end well, but I got the job. I practiced, practiced, practiced.

April Week 4 Year 1:
I went to my job at the Steak House again. The Steak Lady, Isabella, had me try a new item menu: the New Hanabero Pepper Steak. It was a lot better than the last one, that is, until the pepper part started to kick in. I also went to Bison's to buy a few things. Next week is vs the Burgers.
