Just press the button over and over, mashing style.

You can also slow it down and just try to press it like twice a second. both work like 75-80%.

The wiki has helpful guides for 2008 success mode pieces like this - check it out!

What Alloutwar said. That's how I've found success with it. And it's not his last challenge, you're half way there. http://www.mlbppworld.com/wiki/index.php?title=Sittch_Events_2008

Many people have different strategies for completing this challenge. Some slide a pencil across the A button, some just mash it. Heck, I heard one method involving the beat of "99 Luftballoons". It all depends on what you think is comfortable and effective in completing this challenge.

Save/load, keep trying, you will get it.

You need to get 30 blue stars in order to pass. I try to get 4 or 5 per row that flash by. With the mashing you can get 4 or 5 in a row pretty easily.

If it isn't working for a stretch, stop and do slower presses and see if that helps. I mix and match throughout. I just did one with Cecil and got about 35 stars for a pass.

You can do it, it just takes some effort. You'll get it eventually, I know it!

It took me a long time to beat the "water spider" training for the first time, but once I got the hang of it, it was just like second nature to me. You just have to be persistent and find a method that works for you--for me, it was simply rubbing my finger back and forth over the A Button as quickly as possible--and you'll eventually find that it gets remarkably easier.

I actually used to use a marble when I did it.
