What does poor sense affect? Because I just got a guy with amazing starting abilities and that's only because he has poor sense, and I was wondering if it will have a major bad affect on anything because if it does I'll go ahead and restart and hope I don't get it again.

I think it effects how much exp you get when training and how fast your stats go up. With poor sense you might get 10 strength points instead of 15 w/o or 20 with good sense.

Poor sense increases the cost of upgrading abilities. You can remove it several ways, including completing Frank's storyline. There's no quick fix, so try to upgrade as little as possible until it's gone, since those lost points really add up.

Funny thing: I'm not much of a baseball or sports fan, and I don't follow anything outside my favorite teams, and even then, only major games.

Pitcher or fielder? It takes more points to upgrade everything if you have poor sense. So, if you gamble a lot it doesn't matter for the trajectory/contact/speed/fielding stuff, but power will be hard to upgrade because it will start to get to be a lot of points to upgrade. Pitchers will be a little harder to upgrade control and stamina. My David Price success mode character was done with poor sense but good starting stats, I used the recovery necklace, gamblers ring, prince's necklace, and a SoP for him. But, it started to get really hard to upgrade stamina because it got up to 12+ near the end.

Is there like a way to get rid of it because I don't want to waste these starting abilities:

TRJ: 3
CON: 5 (F)
PWR: 75 (F)
RUN SPD: 7 (E)
ARM STR: 4 (F)
FLD: 4 (F)
E RES: 4 (F)

I think I'll just restart and try again, I don't mind restarting a few times to get the starting abilities I like but the problem with this game and in the last one is if you get amazing starting abilities there's always a weakness to even things out like poor sense, laziness, or toothache.

Well, look in the how to get the abilities thread, I remember seeing how to get good sense, but I didn't understand it because I had never met the person they were talking about. Also, if you gamble a lot it will still be easy to upgrade the things out of 15(and trajectory), but power will get to be a lot of points near the end.

With good sense I got to 14+.
