What are the "top" things to look for?

When i have about 4 years left in season mode i go for low potential players just because i can't build any players up any more. The comp picks mostly Batters in the first round and never high potential pitchers. So pick up your high potential players early 2nd round.

Well it is my first year..and I have the 5th pick (Giants)
So what do I take.....a player with great stats or a player with 4 stars of potential...

Take high potential batter, then high potential pitcher, if you need one.

Dont worry about stats yet.

Average is about 3 stars. I don't believe in potential. In 07, I got a 5 star and he was like crap after 10 seasons.

Well I found a pitcher that has 3 stars of potential, and the thing (blob in the center) touches both breaking ball and top speed......
And for batters I found a 3 star RF with a decent "blob" thing......

I think I want the pitcher....

A pitcher with only 3 stars of potential could be taken in the first round so watch out there.

I picked up 2 pitchers....both were pretty good...
But one I is awesome...

He has a level 3 Knuckle , a level 2 Fork, and a level 2 Slider
