Thanks. I wasn't even aware of it until the little message thing came up that said: "Hit for the cycle by hitting a double" and I watched the pitches carefully and smacked one at just the right time. The cycle give you a HUGE bonus in points. I've almost got more money than what I started the franchise with! I started with 150,000 points, and now I've got about 148,000 and making more each day. If I make about 700+ points from a game, I've increased my money, not decreased.

Coincidentally Alfonso Soriano in my game was 5-10 feet away from hitting for the cycle, Twice!

ha nice.

5/31 - Johnson Hits for Cycle
Cubs center fielder Reed Johnson hit for the cycle today against the Rockies. It is the second cycle hit on the team this season as you remember Alfonso Soriano hit for the cycle less than a week before. Johnson started with a homer in the second, a triple in the fourth, a double in the fifth, and a single in the seventh as the Cubs murdered the Rockies 4-20.

5/31 - Cubs Still Blooming in May
Suffering their first loss of the season in the month of May, the Cubs got right back on their feet and haven't lost a game yet, going 28-1 in the month, 25-0 since their single loss, and 55-1 total for the season. Here's Cubs GM's words on how the team has done in the month of May and what to expect from them the rest of the season:

"They're still playing great baseball. That one loss in St. Louis is like the smallest pimple in the world, just a minor blemish. I have no doubt in my mind this is the year for the Cubs. We might improve the team later on with trades, but for now, we're working with the great team we've got."

6/10 - Cubs Acquire McDaniel, Song from Draft
The draft was held today and the Cubs have acquired first baseman McDaniel, and LHP Song. Let's hope to see great things come from both of these players some day. We could even see them as soon as this September when rosters expand:

McDaniel does suck now, but he's only 18, so he'll improve and within the next few years by the time he's maybe 21 or 22, he'll be way better I'd hope.



I was thinking about it after I won two consecutive games against the Rockies scoring 20 runs, but then I went to San Diego and had to face Maddux and Young and both of them nearly shut me down.

maddux i can understand, but young? come on. i can dominate josh beckett, and you can't beat chris young?

He was the best 1st baseman in the list with the biggest circle thingy or whatever it's called, and he happened to be the youngest.

i can understand. i hate when that happens.

I'm going to keep computer batting the way it is because I usually give up 0-3 runs a game and that's fair, right? So I'm going to make batting for me harder, that way I'm not scoring double digits every other game.

And yesterday, I think I broke my own record for most games ever played in a day on Power Pros!
