I was playing a season (franchise) mode, and I started as the Giants....
(non dream draft mode)
I decided to "get rid of" Barry Zito...(contract 17000)

The trade was...

Barry Zito
for
-Chone Figgans-3B (4000)
-K-Rod-RP (7000)
-E. Santana-SP (420)

The question is, is it a great trade :?: :?: :?:

I say good trade! You are losing pay too. Plus you get a closer, an improving starter, and a nice speedster.

wow that was highway robbery.
chone figgins is incredible, k-rod is incredible, and santana can easily replace zito. plus you shaved some salary.

and if anything, "shawn" is a decent utility player (although his abilities in game may not show that he can play every position as well as he can in RL).

Kind of a second question...
Who else should I get rid of from the "stock" Giants?
(I am not going to do a "log"" for them just because of my busy life)

rich aurilia.
get a decent 1st baseman like adrian gonzalez or james loney (coincidence that they're both in your division)

I think my starting rotation needs 1 maybe two guys.....
-Matt Cain
-Tim Lincecum
-Noah Lowry
-Ervin Santana
(I was thinking of getting Volquez, any other suggestions?)

My bullpen is "eh"
My closer is awesome...

Should I try to trade Vizquel, or Durham?

Alright, I just attempted a trade...

Aurilia 1B
for
Volquez-SP
Phillips-2B

And the Reds accepted it!!!!
Yes!
Now who (starter) should I go for?

Yeah I cannot believe that it actually worked...
It was three "stars" with just Volquez but when I added Philips it became one...
I thought there was no way...but wow...
Bonus...Aurilia's salary was (4000) and Volquez was (390) and Phillips was (680)

There is no way the Mariners are giving up King Felix....
I am going to try this trade Durham(7200) for R. Howard(900) it is a one star.....you never know
I need one more really quality starter.....
