Revived interest in the Canadian regions has sparked for a new team- The IQs, one of the two teams joining the MLB.
Currently in the franchise, with a lack of a stadium, is sharing with the Toronto Blue Jays, although the IQs are in the Western AL division...

Year 1 2008:
With a team filled with rookies and 1 or 2 veterans, the IQs were pushed to the 4th place spot quickly, after being beaten out by the Angels. Several rookies took this time to shine and become the faces of the team. Ryan Church, not to be confused with the other, went .277 with 26 home runs and 97 RBIs. DH Orlando Hudson finished with a .266 average but with 35 HRs and 102 RBIs. Winning the ROTY award was second basemen Winn, fishing off with a .312 average with 34 HRs and 112 RBIs. Several other rookies put up modest numbers.
Veteran staff ace Marquis went 12-10 with a 4.10 ERA. Hideo Nomo, also a starter, retired in the off-season. Management traded struggling rookie D. Johnson for Jack Cust, in a major blockbuster trade. Cust went .324 with 32 HRs and 104 RBIs. Additionally, management traded several top prospects for Andre Ethier, who finished with .293 and 25 HRs and 93 RBIs In the off-season, management hired a load of free agents: CC Sabathia, Mark Teixeira, Carl Crawford, and signed Kyle Lohse.

Year Summary: Although being beaten into the ground, the IQs have a promising year ahead of them after signing veteran and young talent. One thing to note is the lack of experienced starters, and the wild bullpen, who's closer in 2009 will be a rookie. Expect management to create several trades throughout the 2009 season to fix their bullpen.

Year 2: 2009
April: After the signing of blockbuster players, it became apparent it was not enough. Rotation was rebuilt:
Sabathia
Lincecum
Lohse
Willis
James
May: Average month. 3rd place mostly. 1st Basemen Teixeirea begins his slump...
June: 2 Players drafted. Both of major league level. Pitchers.
July: Stuggling closer Foulke was sent to the bullpen and replaced with his set up man, Brodinski.
August: IQs rallied to 2nd place. Brodinski is amazingly on his 20th save.
September: A brutal fight, the IQs beat the Seattle Mariners in a 1 game playoff to win the Western Division Pennant! Also, Brodinski earns his 25th save.
October: In their first post season, the IQs barely beat the Tampa Bay Rays to clinch the division title. Afterward the american league pennant is clinched, beating the Yankees. IQs sweep the mets in the world series for their first victory.
Off Season: F/A signed: Josh Beckett.
Strategists believe that it was a bad idea to have a lack of off season signing. IQ GM claims that they were picking from a low quality selection of free agents.

Yeah it goes fast as I summarize each month-- not like I play every game. I skip a lot, provide seasonal summaries.

I try to advance a year every weekend.

Year 3-2010. 1 Game away
April

Having an extreme starting pitching rotation and a solid closer, the IQs seemed poised to rocket out to first place. Unfortunately that was not the case, having spent half of April in the basement of the AL West. Slugger O. Hudson (created player) slumped, and Jack Cust went into his 2nd year of a slump. Teixeirea rebounds from his slump. Catcher Johjima, 2nd basemen Winn, lead the team. The end of the month results in moving to 2nd place.

May

The IQs blasted this month, and maintained a fairly slim lead at 1st place over the AL central. To strengthen the rotation, struggling starter Josh Beckket, with a 12.93 ERA that month, was traded to the New York Yankees for Sinkerballer Chien Ming Wang. Additionally, AAA player Rosado was traded with cash for Fuentes, giving the IQs a decent set up man.

June

IQs really took off and maintained an amazing 10 game lead at one point. Two rookies were drafted, both of decent quality. Otherwise, there is not much to tell.

July

IQs maintained the lead, however it slipped to a 5 game lead over the Seattle Mariners. No changes in roster.

August

Slugger Teixeirea begins a home run drought. Winn prospers, and so does closer Brodinski (25th save).
Lead is maintained, however shortly.

September

IQs clinch the division, while the Mariners take the wild card. Starting pitching begins to tire, and regular season players begin to slip.

Post Season

Narrowly beating the ChiTown White Sox in the first round, the IQs advance to the semi finals, however are bested by the New York Yankees led by their 2 time MVP Jorge Posada. Overall a good year for the IQs

F/A activity:
Using agressive strategy, IQs commit some astounding negotiability regarding free agents. Halladay was signed for a 4 year, 7 million contract (asked for 12 million), and many players were signed with 390,000 contracts. (including Travis Hafner)

A blockbuster trade occurs, involving the IQs trading Willis and Renteria for Hanley Ramirez.

Sadly the owner of the team has gone bankrupt, so the team has been disbanded.
Look down for more information.
