in the main menu of season mode, the office view, then go to system, then options, then controller setup... i set the manager option to auto so i can focus on the ball game. but after playing a game, setting practice, moving an injured player to AAA, etc. i look at the options again and its set back to manual. is this a glitch or am i doing something wrong? :|

i know!
because you switched a player to AAA, that would be manually doing something a manager would do, and that (along with the practice stuff) would set it back to amnual, since it'd be no use in keeping it at auto while you switch guys and such.

I'm pretty sure that they will.
Usually, though, they will only switch players for injury.
A good way to see their tendencies is to simply go to MLB Data, Transaction, then MLB/AAA Switch.
Scroll through the teams and see what they have done.
