CLIFF LEE PITCHES PERFECT GAME AGAINST AGING MARINERS! Their lineup (batting order): Jamie Carroll 2B Michael Young SS Todd Helton 1B Hideki Matsui DH Aubrey Huff RF So Taguchi LF Garret Anderson CF Wes Helms 3B Jamie Burke C Using mainly trickery (throwing off their timing by throwing 2SFB, 4SFB, DCB, for instance), Cliff Lee has achieved the impossible. With HRs from Alexei Ramirez, Andre Ethier, and 2 from Adrian Gonzalez, he had the run support. With help mainly from Aramis Ramirez and Orlando Hudson, both Gold Glovers I think, he had the defense. His pitches were great (though he had the yellow face), and the 2SFB (3) was his main weapon, as always, in this incredible task. Moreover, it was at Safeco Field, and a perfect game hasn't been thrown since the start of the decade. Also, Andre Ethier would have had a cycle hit, but had fielder's choice's in his last 2 at-bats (CURSE YOU MICHAEL YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Final point: Only five players on the Mariners' roster are under 30; none of them started in the field, while Peavy got crushed. However, this does not mean the task was easy, all of them except Burke had contact of D or better. |

thanks. i actually edited him to this, after this season: CTRL: High B 2SFB: 3 (It's his best pitch in real life) CUT: 5 (I should demote this, add slider) DCB: 4 CHG: 5 anyways, i was a little nervous, i thought anderson was gonna break it up. once i got past Matsui for the last time, i thought "Holy crap, I might do this!" |

The longest that I've had one for was til the 7th I came close with Wakefield in '07, but thats cause noone could hit wakefields level 7 knuckleball(and it was agains the padres who had players with all F and E's in contact) |

You are NEVER going to believe this!!!!! I was using fantasy draft, and it was opening day against arguably the best offense in the AL east against the orioles( I was the Ray, and the Orioles had, an edited vernon well, Jacobs, Hafner, Damon and others) And roy Oswalt threw A PERFECT GAME!!!!!, I've never had a no-hitter, or a perfect game, so man that was just great, so you got your perfecto with lee on the same day that I got mine with Oswalt |

Great job! oswalt is seriously underrated, and he falls to about the 5th round in PP, which is insane. Did anybody hear him rip A-Roid? I'll be on in a few... |

He really seemed upset about it, and I knew what he was trying to say about A-Rod like ruining his career if A-rod hit a homer off him or something, I didn't really understand that part much, but he's probably the first player i've heard say to get rid of his stats |

he had a point though, even if he didn't play against him more than a couple times. think about halladay, who's had to deal with him dozens of times in his career. |

HUDSON ON THE MOVE? Trade Talks between the Astros and Phoenix are rumored. Possible players include Orlando Hudson, who did have 2 errors yesterday, Marlon Anderson, and Mike Fontenot. Payers from the Astros include Micah Owings (edited), David Eckstein, and Odalis Perez. |

If you're gonna get any of the 3, get Owings and maybe another player too |

all right. details are still pretty scarce, so it doesn't look like we'll know who gets traded until after the deal is done. btw, it was 1-0 after 2 against a very good A's team, but the game was blown wide open with 10 runs in the next 2 innings. Blackburn is cruising in his first start back from his 2nd injury this season, allowing only 3 hits so far through the 5th. |

BLACKBURN, WOLFE PITCH COMBINED 4 HITTER IN LAUGHER Blackburn pitched 6 innings of 4 hit ball, and Wolfe didn't allow anything in 3 innings of work. Aramis Ramirez also had 5 RBIs in a 26-0 laugher. Blackburn improves to 5-0 on the season, and Wolfe has 1 win and 2 saves. |
