I just offered Howie Kendrick to the Blue Jays as a joke for Roy Halliday. AND THEY IMMEDIATLY ACCEPTED.

Im raging though. This leaves me in a dilemma because my rotation already looks like:

1.) Becket
2.) Sabathia
3.) Webb
4.) Cain
5.) Sheets
6.) Weaver

I don't know if I should put Roy as my 7th starter, which Im not afraid of doing, but still... that trade was omfg. It had no stars, too. I don't want to mess with my rotation anymore than adding a new starter though, since well, everyone has an era under 2.5 and 200+ SO :)

I now love Roy... I pitched him six times (yes six) in the World Series. I ended up winning! MY FIRST WORLD SERIES VICTORY! YES!

roy boy is absolutely insane, and he could easily be a HoFer.
i say that you could trade sheets or weaver (is it jered or jeff?) to clear salary for doc, and you'll also have your 6-man rotation (which I also use extremely efficiently)

Jered, since he's the one on the Angels, I think. And nah, Sheets is extremely cheap and efficent. I got him for 3600, believe it or not. Three years. :)

trade jered, he's young enough for teams and he has something like a 2500 salary (you can clear some other guys too.
I actually purposely made a bad trade (sorta) to clear about 7000 in salary (adrian gonzalez + scrubs for casey kotchman + random pitcher)

I have the points to keep over 6 Roy's, so that's not a problem. I'm just concerned what to do with my rotation. I was thinking moving Roy to the ace spot and then having my rotation look like this:

1.) Roy
2.) CC
3.) Becket
4.) Cain
5.) Sheets
6.) Webb

Then Weaver goes to Swing Man which would move Fausto down to Long Reliever along with Ervin

Having 3 swingmen isn't a bad idea. :)

Not with a six man rotation lol, no one ever gets tired. If someone gets injured, I just move a rookie up and let them play from AAA

Then make one of them the closer. Or trade him for Chase Utley or something.

Post subject:  Re: OMFG!

of course you mention a phillie to trade for...
but how about a true superstar, like ichiro or tex?

Well, since you traded Howie Kendrick, you probably want a second baseman to replace him... but you get the idea. Trade the worst starter for a superstar to fill one of your holes.

And Ichiro has a 16000 salary and is fairly old. However, he is a phenomenal defensive player.

personally, i'd rather have brian roberts (in the game, not in real life) over utley.

Meh, it's all DrK's opinion. I prefer Utley since he is the best hitting second baseman available, but his arm strength is fairly horrendous and his fielding is average. Then again, a second baseman doesn't really need a strong arm... besides, Utley is almost as fast as Roberts and has (I'll need to check this) Stealing 4.

Thanks for the suggestions but I have everything covered. Howie wasn't a starter and was only hitting .183 with five homeruns and twenty seven RBIs at the trade deadline.
