I would guess pitching or 1st base
Or 2nd cause Sanchez doesn't do that well in this game

Sanchez has the highest average on my team. O_O

My biggest weakness would be catching and yeah, my bullpen.

You should give some of your minor leauge pitchers a shot, there are alot in the pirates organization

And raise doumit's contact through practice 'cause he matted like .313 this year. Doumit is very underrated

First base: with a bit of reloading you can get Conor Jackson (D con B pwr E run C arm F fld C eres) who has some good abilities, and if you want to take it further you could trade him for Ryan Howard (of course with some reloading)

Bullpen: plenty of good options here. The best relievers in MLBPP are Joba Chamberlain (Yanks) and Aaron Heilman (Mets); however they are often hard to get. The cheapest good reliever you could get is probably Kevin Hart (Cubs), for around 4000-5000 points (without anybody else). You might also be able to nab Fernando Cabrera from the Orioles. Cabrera has a lvl 4 CB and a lvl 4 SPLT (which is deadly) and Hart has lvl 3 SLD, lvl 3 CHG, and lvl 4 CB, which is pretty good. They should be good additions to your team.

And if you want another good cheap LF, look for Luke Scott (Orioles) who has good power and speed, and decent fielding. He should be easy to get.

Zach Duke

Made history yet again as he fanned seventeen New York batters on his way to a no hitter.

Were sent to the Nationals this afternoon in a blockbuster deal that gives the Pirates star thirdbase man...

Ryan Zimmerman.

Ryan is expected to start tomorrow's game as Shortstop. (Going to bed, sorry for short post, but wanted to announce this trade. Tomorrow, I'll post statistics for everyone, average, etc. . . lineup and stuff like that.)

Kyle Snyder? My next move will probably be for Tim Wakefield or Derek Lowe to round out my rotation now that Hamels is gone. Yeah, he is.

Wait--

I can probably move Bautista to short and Ryan to third. That'll probably be better.

Chris snyder, the dbacks catcher
If you go back to the falcons log then you'll see what he did for me(mainly in the postseason)
But you don't seriously have to get Snyder

Grady Little - Press Confrence

Image

He's been letting his young, fiery GM call the shots for awhile now. However, he thought it'd be time that he handle the press himself. Fans are more than welcomed to attend this event, but he'd appreciate it if you don't ask him anything about keeping Pedro in during the ALCS.

If you have any questions for Grady, ask before I check this thread again. I'll answer them in a little press confrence where you guys get to be the reporters. :P Just post here, remember that. POST HERE AND ONLY HERE.

Ryan Zimmerman Interview - He Talks about being Traded to the Bucs

Reporter One: Ryan, how does it feel to go from a decent team to quite possibly one of the worst teams right now?

Ryan Zimmerman: Are you kidding me? What drug are you smoking? There is no chance in Hell that this is the worst team. Have you done your homework at all, sir? The Pirates have had a great season this year, and I intend on helping them do better. Now, do we have a serious question?

Reporter Two: I'd like to say, congratulations on sparking interest so far, and I hope the trade works out for you. Now, Mr. Zimmerman, how do you feel about starting at short now instead of third?

Ryan Zimmerman: I'd prefer starting at third, yes. However, many players have made the switch before. The Pirates have one of the best [fielding] coaches in the majors. I'm sure he'll work with me before the season ends.

Reporter Three: How do you feel about the Pirates' performance thus far? And how do you intend on helping it?

Ryan Zimmerman: That's the easiest question to answer. The Pirates have had a wonderful season so far, and I intend on helping them out by providing a bat they need. Especially since Xavier Nady is starting to slump. Now, I have an appointment with Grady Little and Andrew ReLink that I need to get to.

ESPN Sports Coverage - Zimmerman Trade

(http://www.espn.com/) - This was a great, great trade for the Pirates. It was a trade that no one was expecting to go through, especially since teams like the Chicago Cubs were offering so much more. For example, they were offering A-Ram and a minor league prospect. The Nationals, though, like the Cole Hamels and Jack Wilson trade best. Jack Wilson is currently batting .297 with fourty-three RBIs compared to Zimmerman's .311 average and ten homeruns with fifty-six RBIs. Zimmerman is also younger than Jack, costs less, and is ultimately going to carry any team in the future.

The only questionable move was sending a struggling Hamels away just like that. Usually, teams like to give pitchers more than two months to settle down, but not ReLink. To quote him, "I can't have someone who has a 5.20 ERA come on the mound and blow games." Which is why Hamels is gone.

Ultimately, the Pirates are the winners here, if and only if, they can find someone to replace Hamels. There's been several names tossed up into the air, one of them being Derek Lowe.

You can ask that question. :P

I don't know, I'm not sitting in front of my Wii. I just have the player's stats stuck in my head so I decided to go ahead and post a good read and also get you guys involved with an interactive press confrence. :P And, yeah, sorry about doing that to Zimmerman. That reporter deserved it though! Calling my Pirates the worst team, grrr...
