Zimmerman puts Pirates up by Seven

He just hit a two run shot! Well, this game is over. The Pirates are coming away with the victory and Weaver is being dominant, as he has only allowed one man on base in four innings - much better than any pitcher for the Pirates thus far, including King Felix.

He now leads the majors by three after that shot! The only person who comes close to him is teammate, David Wright! And, well, he gave the Pirates another run!

I have it maxed out and my sweet spot is on normal. I don't know why I'm so good. I usually suck at video games.

Weaver gives up first run; let's Freel get an RBI

He almost had a shutout, but he was unable to keep a rally under control. Weaver has lasted four and two thirds of an inning so far, only allowing one run...

Actually, it might be smart to intentionally get out if you have a huge, 5 run + lead. This way you won't have to pay your players more money in the offseason.

Weaver gets out of jam; get's a hit!

Jered Weaver made Eric Byrnes ground out to David Wright at first, allowing himself to get out of a jam without anyone else scoring. Then, it was his turn to bat, and he got a hit! This is the first time under Little's ownership that every player on the Pirates has gotten a hit in one game!!

...Wow. Eleven homeruns in one series is just fantastic. He managed to put his team ahead, too. I think Dan Uggla is eyeing the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award this season.

The Pirates Walk Away with Third Victory of Year

Unstoppable, dominant, powerful, experts, or even epic. All of those are words that can describe the Pittsburgh Pirates. They're incredible, no doubt. This was once a team that would finish with a losing record and below .500 every year, but look at them since Grady Little took over. They play like experts, professionals, and seasoned veterans. In my mind, this team is going to become a dynasty. It's just that clear to me, especially after their latest performance.

Pittsburgh was able to come away with the victory in nine, easy innings. They had fourteen runs, twenty-two hits, and zero errors. This is probably the third time they finished with over ten runs this year. Now, lets compare them to divisional rival and former NL Central leader, Cincinatti Reds. The Reds had eleven runs, eighteen hits, and zero errors in nine innings of play. They did good, too, but the Bucs did better. In any normal series, the Pirates would have swept them already, however, this is a four game series, but the Bucs have proved they won it already.

Now, let's look at some player performances. We all know how dominant Dan Uggla is. He's currently a double crown winner in the making as he leads the Majors in homeruns and RBIs. He's incredible, and was our Coca Cola player of the game. However, let's look at the pitching performances for the Pittsburg Pirates.

Jered Weaver is one incredible guy. If he works on his control abit, he'll be an ace for any club. However, from his start today, he gave up ten runs as he showed signs of fatigue - not good. However, he held the Reds to fourteen hits while striking out only one batter. He didn't show starting pitcher caliber stuff on the mound, but he was solid for most of the game.

Rafael Betancourt a seasoned veteran of the mound and of the Pirates. He's a great pitcher who only allowed four hits, while matching Weaver's one strikeout in three and a third inning of play. Out of those four hits was a homerun. A tying homerun, but luckily for him, the Pirates were able to recover, thanks to Uggla.

Now, those were the only two pitchers on the mound for Pittsburgh, and they still did incredible. They are clear-cut division champs if they continue to play like this. Did I mention Dan Uggla? Well, he walks off tonight with the Coca Cola Player of the Game, his second of this series.

Dan Uggla: It's an incredible feeling knowing you're incredible inside the box. I never imagined being this good, but I'm glad I'm blessed with this kind of talent.

Reporter: Pittsburgh is to. Now, Mr. Uggla, do you have any intentions of breaking a record this year, or winning an award?

Dan Uggla: I hope to win the Most Valuable Player of the Year award, along with a batting title or two. I would also love to take this team to the World Series with David Wright.

Reporter: Nice goals. Well, we'll let you go home now. Thanks for your time.

Dan Uggla is eyeing an MVP Award, but he'll have to beat out St. Louis Cardinals powerhouse, Albert Pujols. There is no doubt in my mind that he can do it. Anyway, we have some more news on the ReLink Scandal coming up next.
