Zimmerman hits a Grand one; Billingsley gives up three hits

Ryan Zimmerman continues to amaze fans everywhere as he hit a grandslam today, following Wright's homer. The Pirates are currently up 5-0 over the Yankees, and are now expected to walk away with the win. However, Billingsley gave up three hits in the second so he was pulled. Carl Evert is his replacement, and will finally get his blink-and-you'll-miss it debut.

that's cuz he sucks and he has high salary.
though i want manny to perish in baseball purgatory (somewhere like baltimore, not KC or (maybe) DC cuz of their young guys)

Interesting find, jacobye. That is funny. And something else? The only Yankee not on the 2008 opening day lineup is Cano. Hmm, wonder where he went? :D

@sjax: Harden is definitely better, but his salary is 8 times Hensley's.

@Jacobye: I think Chris Duffy is on the Pirates still, not sure.

@Sjax: I thought it was the other Giambi who took roids. They both probably did, lol.

@Longball: I want to know where Cano went to. :P Can you tell me so I can acquire him for my team?

Billingsley getting pulled after two innings for giving up 3 hits? Wow. Must be a pretty stacked team you got there. :D

Harden is 4000. Hensley is 400. Comparison? (I'm just one of those Marlins-type GM's who think that anything above 2000 is too high  )

@Dr K: I have no idea at all where Cano is. :D

McLouth, Wright, Uggla all single to load bases for Crawford

Crawford only had twelve homeruns last season, and didn't hit very well with runners in scoring posistion. He now has a chance to change that and hit a possible second grandslam for the Pirates!

Nah, in Spring Training I only allow pitchers to go two innings, tops. It gives me a general idea of what they can do, and allows me to play more people. :_:

And I wish you knew were Cano is. <_< Sjax, do you have a clue?

my guess would be either KC, SF, or whatever team is the best in the league right now (besides u).

Carl Evert will finally get his blink-and-you'll-miss it debut.

After the Pirates are done tearing the Yankees to shreds. Evert was an undrafted rookie, and was picked up and signed in the off season. He's like Bill "Spaceman" Lee, to give you a general idea of what he brings to the table.

Evert not so good?

In not even an inning of play, Carl Evert has given up four runs. Let's get a closer look:

-Double to Damon
-Single to Jeter, scoring Damon.
-Linedrive to A-Fraud
-Homerun to another fraud

Carl Evert has given up four runs. He still has a lesser, one run lead to pitch with, but people doubt it will last as Abreu enters the box.

You say A-Fraud so casually in this 8)
And Carl Evert reminds me of Carl Everett. Too many bad memories in this thread :violin:
