ZIM-MER-MAN. He's 390 for me. That, or you can try and land Bautista. He's batting over .300 for me. |

Marlins improve defense, complete blockbuster The Florida Marlins just made some waves around the MLB by aquiring talented 3rd basemen Adrian Beltre from the Seattle Mariners. It cost the Marlins Doug Waechter, Kevin Gregg and Jorge Cantu. The Fish have been murmering about defense and trying to make it better and they have made it better by getting the gold-glover. Cantu was supplying decent offense but it was not worth it defensivly for the Fish. One downside here is that Beltre has an 11500 point contract but the Marlins are hoping it is worth the risk. Rapada was also called up to replace Gregg Beltre had 6 homeruns and 16 rbis with Seattle with a .296 average. |

Cantu's salary was like 690, Greggs was 690 and Waechters was 390 So that means a got rid of barely 1500 points from them. But everyone else pricetag is from 390-690 besides Gonzo whos is 2000. There are gonna be some offseason trades for those whos contract goes up during contract renewal |

Marlin's Notes- May 1 < The Marlins were 15-12 in March/April < They are 1.5 games behind the Braves for first < Owens will be named closer for his 1.08 ERA, the Fish are looking for consistency as Hendrickson has an ERA over 7, Lindstrom has a 4.50 ERA and Tankersley has given up 9 runs in 3 innings pitched. Other than that, Kensing and Gardner has gotten the job done. Marlin's call up top pitching prospect, Sanchez The Fish has sent down struggling pitcher Sergio Mitre and called up Anibal Sanchez. Sergio was 1-3 with a 6.34 ERA. Sanchez has had time in the cluba and is most remembered for his no-hitter back in 2006. Theres not doubting his stuff and he will be put in the rotation immediatly. |

Well interleauge play starts tommorow versus the Royals Its only a 3 game-series for May but it really starts in June I'll try to do a game log for this month and I'll do a few when I play the Ray's because of the Florida rivalry |

3 Vs Royals @ Home 3 @ Oakland 3 @ Mariners 3 @ Rays And 3 more at home versus the Rays I've always loved interleauge play. But I hate it how in the second year and beyond how the schedule for interleauge is so messed up. I play one team like 9 times and then 3 for July, aren't the first interleauge games supposed to be played in May? I guess not according to these schedule creators... |

If you really wanted to pay a guy 11500 points, why not get Eric Chavez or Scott Rolen? They have even better defense and their offense is decent. Or, an even better alternative, trade for Orlando Hudson, who's not quite as good offensively as Uggla, but superior defensively. You could then play Uggla at third base until the end of the season and convert him to third base during spring training. That's what I would have done. |

I tryed for Chavez but Gregg, Waecher and Cantu were only 2 stars for him Rolen isn't that great offensivly either, but hey, if he does well maybe he can get you he can suprise the nonbelievers |
