Roy Oswalt has just gotten out of a bases loaded, no out jam without allowing anything
out 1: short fly to LF, not long enough to tag up on.
out 2: grounder to peralta, just barely gets burnsy (eric byrnes) at home.
out 2: nomar strikes out looking.

Post subject:  Re: Houston Astros Franchise Log (BLOCKBUSTER TRADE!)

Jacob Eagle has called a press conference on behalf of Steven Jackson, the Astros' fresh new GM. The location is New York City, where the Astros will be playing their next couple games.
Let's hear what he has to say, though he has said something about the possible trades...

"Ladies and gentlemen, those rumors about Peralta going out of Houston are finally over.
Peralta, as well as John Van Benschoten and Mike Rabelo, will be packing their belongings and will make the trek to Toronto.
Cash has also been sent over to them.
As for us, well, let's just say we'll be rolling along with our new shortstop.

Everyone, meet the new shortstop for the Houston Astros franchise, Jimmy Rollins!
*He walks on stage with an Astros uniform*
Also, we have acquired Jeremy Sowers as a long reliever, and C.J. Wilson [edited, w/ gyro] as a multi-purpose reliever, and we are seriously encouraging him (CJ) to work on his "gyroball."
Anyways, don't just take my word for it, let's speak to the new members of our proud franchise.
Thank you for your time tonight, thank you to J.R. Ricciardi (Toronto GM) for smooth negotiations, and I can assure you that you'll see all three of these fine men in Astros' uniforms, making their team look even better than it was before tomorrow.

Rollins went on to say, "Wow, I had heard the trade talks between these two teams, but I never imagined it would end up being something this big. I just can't wait to play tomorrow, especially with guys like David (Wright), Roy (Oswalt), and to see what's up with that insane rookie that these guys somehow managed to find in the middle of nowhere (Yoma Ma)."

Votto next to go?
New rumors have arisen, including joey votto, the team's DH.
possible destinations are texas and kansas city.
an employee of jackson has said that the astros are looking for a true long reliever, who could also be a fill-in starter in case of injury.

Brandon Webb, the Astros' #1 pitcher, will be starting against the Yankees in the Astros' home opener.

Good trade there. Rollins is an excellent player, but he does have a fairly high salary (to me, anything above 2000 is high :) )

Any other trades that could happen?

(I can help with suggestions if you want :) )

didn't you read about votto?
but yeah, anything you want would be fine.

You edited Votto, right? because in game without edits that would be an awesome trade.

Who are you trading him for, then?

edited him, but he's hitting .150 with only 3 ribbies after 1 week.
anyways, it's a pitcher, mainly.

DAVID WRIGHT HAS HIT FOR THE CYCLE!
It went double, single, HR, triple.
His first four AB's at home this season prove to be a cycle hit, an incredible feat.
Also, Rollins made a spectacular diving catch in shallow outfield grass to rob placido polanco of a hit.
