STRUGGLING VOTTO OUT
Joey Votto was traded to the Oakland A's yesterday, along with two AAAers, Nick Fahey and Ryan Garko. Cash was also sent over.
Received were Joaquin Benoit, Kevin Frandsen, and the long reliever they were looking for, Rich Harden (sound familiar, longball?).
They are expected to contribute immediately to a fantastic but shorthanded bullpen.
Frandsen is a great young guy that could be great with some practice.

BAY, McCANN ARE ASTROS
Another blockbuster trade went through today, as the Houston Astros upgraded two positions in highway robbery of the Reds.

Reds get:
Johnny Estrada
Rick Ankiel
Angel Sanchez

Astros get:
Brian McCann
Jason Bay
Pablo Ozuna

Bay will take over right field for the Astros, and obviously McCann will catch.

ANOTHER HUGE TRADE!
This time, it saves about 700 in salary, gives us more owner points, all while stealing 2 of the best pitchers in the majors.

Giants get:
Kelvim Escobar
Brad Penny
Rich Harden

Astros get:
Carlos Zambrano (an absolute beast in this game)
Felix Hernandez (yes, king felix)
Jack Cassel (replacing Harden, would've gotten Great Bennett if not for 70 ctrl  )
8000 P

ZAMBRANO ALLOWS 5 HITS, WRIGHT SLAMS 5 DINGERS
In his Astros debut, Carlos Zambrano allowed 5 hits, all but one were singles. Two other runners reached on errors.

The big news of the day was easily David Wright, however.
He went 5-5 yesterday, hitting all 5 out of the park.
He went from 10 to 15 homers on the season, and he is the new league leader.
He had the following to say:
"I just felt great the entire game. All those curtain calls really make you feel better, especially if you actually deserve it.
It was obviously a career day for me, but I feel that my teammates deserve something too, they have been just so encouraging, and they've basically chosen me, along with Grady (Sizemore) as the team leaders. It's been fantastic so far, and I hope to continue this throughout the season."

Reporter: Is there anyone you have been mentoring, anything like that?"

DW: "Oh yeah. As I said, everyone looks up to me, even though I'm still young myself.
However, Yoma Ma has basically adopted me as a teacher, and I guess it's working, look how he's doing, beating Votto out for the first baseman's job and everything.
He's a great guy, and I think he has Hall of Fame potential, though it's too early to call."

Reporter: Thank you for your time.

DW: No problem.

Masahide Kobayashi

Astros get:
Matt Kemp (Just as good as BJ Upton)
Ross Gload (Way overrated @ D, C, D, C, C)
Mike Wuertz (Nasty slider)

My one thing.... STOP quadruple posting, it's annoying and messy and just a sad way of getting your post count higher....

Make one post, and then edit into it. There's no need for quadruple posting.

Look at all the other logs, even yours, you quadruple and triple posted.
Anyways, haven't been able to start a game yet
I'll be able to play today, though.
