(Arlington, Texas) - How do you describe a shocking turn of events in just plain, ordinary words? The simple answer is you cannot. Major League Baseball is taking a drastic step in a new direction as a draft has been called. However, Bud Selig doesn't intend on this being an ordinary draft we see when teams go after the newest, scouted talent. Selig wants what Selig gets, and he wants a draft including every player in existence, young, old, short, tall, fat or skinny. "This is my way of redistributing the wealth." Selig said, "If we can make sure every team has an equal chance at landing a player, then the sport will be more interesting."

"This is not the only thing I want to do," Selig once again continued, "May I be the first to welcome the [former] American League teams to the National League, and vice versa."

"You've heard the commissioner!" A furious Tom Hicks shouted. "We're now a National League team and every single one of you are eligible to be drafted by another team. I can say for certain we aren't going to draft you all back. Don't feel sorry for yourself, because we don't feel sorry for you. We want to be able to win the World Series and [most of] you guys don't cut it, sorry." Tom Hicks has yet to organize a draft plan or anything, but he has announced that he has fired former General Manager, Jon Daniels.

To replace Daniels, Hicks is opening the position to every business man, former player, and/or lawyer. "I don't care who thinks they can run my organization. They can be a farmer for all I care. They need a plan for the future that I agree with, and I'm only signing them for ten years anyway. That should be enough to get us at least one World Championship." Hicks announced in a press conference. Who will rise to take the spot is unknown, but baseball fans and fantasy lovers are gearing up for the initial application date which is scheduled to be soon.

This is a side-project of mine which will just be story telling until PP09 is released. However, if I get bored of my Pirates' Chise, or something, I'll go do this one on 2008.

(Arlington, Texas) - Former President George W. Bush wanted to take control of the Texas Rangers again. However, he didn't want to buy the team. He wanted to manage it. Tom Hicks immediatly turned the former President away. "We don't need a financial mess within the Rangers, sorry." That was Hicks' only statement on the matter.
