I needa win games and get popular so that I can get some players in there without coach selection

July 1- Offense and Deserts surge through hot June in Arizona

After two under .500 months, the Deserts dominated their way to a 20-6 June in which their offense surged in the hot heat of June. They averaged almost 60 more runs than the first two months for a total of 192 runs in 26 games but their pitching averaged more than 5 runs in the other months for a total of 121 runs. The Deserts will hope for pitching to shape up without trades and they will go after that 1B before the tradeline in 30 days. One of the best parts of their success was the success against NL opponents. They went an AL best 15-3 in interleauge games which helped considering they went 5-3 against AL opponents in June. One of the best parts of this month was the 5th voting for the all-stars. Jeff Gonzalez and Billy Hawk put their names on the ballot for 2nd base and shortstop respectivly and become the first Deserts to ever be on the list.

The all-star voting for the 5th all-star voting will be showed next but without the number of votes, and also the mailbag is expected to be made at 9:00 ET so if you want, then you can get in your last second questions that you can PM and will be answered at 9:00

July 5- Deserts Mailbag

woo-hoo, the big bad mailbag is back up, but with only two questions. But the question that gocubs sent me was accidently deleted so I'm gonna have to rephrase his question in a way. And thanks to stevenjackson and gocubs for the posts

Quote:
what big-name players, if any, are you looking at attempting to acquire?
If none, what about any other players?- StevenJackson39

Well they have noone in particular as a 1B but they were looking at Ross Gload of the Marlin's and three interesting names that popped up were Yankees 1st basemen Xavier Nady, Nick Swisher and Eric Hinske. Swisher is playing almost everyday for them so Nady and Hinske might be easier to get but Hinske is inconistent and not much a defensive player an Nady doesn't play much 1B and is not a great fielder to begin with. Besides them their aren't many others to choose from that are easy to get but you never know who they could get.

Quote:
How do you think your division ranks with other divisions?- Gocubs09

This is being worte as the Deserts have a 5 game division lead. Right now this can be considered one of the worst in majors and it is the worst in the AL. The team closest to me is the White Sox and the Twins, Indians and Tigers are around them. The White Sox are 8th best in the AL, the Tigers are 9th, the Twins are 10th, the Indians are 11th and the Royals are dead last in 16th. The Deserts I think will finish first unless some epic fail happens but the teams that are 2-5 in the standings for the AL central are all pretty even if it doesn;t show it by their position in the AL standings

For some reason, my starters aren't doing as well as they should be. But my closer Clemente got in at least

All-Star game update: It's tied 1-1 in the bottom of the 8th with Roberts, Guillen and a pinch hitter for Ortiz up(Cooper will PH)

Fuentes just had a huge strikeout of Utley and the flawed all-star game had 5 1B's and no 2B's or many orther infielders for that matter

I still have Rivera, Clemente and Sabathia on the bench for pitchers and I'll save Sabathia for extras
