I apologize for the DP, but the poll isn't working.
Just vote the first answer for yes, the last for no.

off-topic: I traded Dan Haren for Albert Pujols and 5000 points. Then I sold Pujols to the Marlins for 23000 points. Finally I paid 32000 points for a super-hyped up Curtis Granderson (one of my favorite players).

Result: Marlins in second place in the NL East (Phillies in last place  ), me (angels) in first place.

Big Papi goes 0-4 in his first game as a Hawk.
The game is a pitcher's duel between Justin Duscherer of the A's and Vance Black.
Black goes 8 innings without giving up any runs, but so does Duscherer.
In the top of the ninth, Rykel Soriano gets on first, and promptly steals second. No outs.
Mike Cameron hits a single, then HE steals second.
J.J. Hardy, who had struggled of late, steps up.
He hits a sac fly to center field, and it's 1-0. Pika Choo comes on to get his 22nd save, and exactly 100 fans leave McAfee Coliseum happy.
The Hawks are now 5 games back of the Indians and the Tigers (the Indians have the tiebreaker, sorry dishnet) after being 11-12 games back a week and a half into July.

It all boils down to this:
Tigers have a 1 game lead over the Indians, 2 games over Hawks, and 3 over the White Sox with 3 games left.
Hawks own the head-to-head tiebreaker in all cases, and the Tigers own the Indians 8-6. White Sox basically have no chance, but they can play spoiler for the Tigers (or was it Cleveland...?)

Tomorrow...

too late!
Down 2-1 in the series, the Hawks won game 4 in a nailbiter.
It came down to the final game, winner-take-all to face the BoSox, who had swept the Angels.
It turned out to be a blowout, though Papelbon made it 8-6.
So the Hawks move on to face the Red Sox, and the Mets will face the Reds.

Just to let you know, I simulated EVERY GAME of the ALCS.

The Hawks went up 2-1 and 3-2, but the Red Sox performed those next games with gusto, forcing a Game 7 between the underdog expansion team making a Marlinsesque (1997) run at the championship and the 2004/2007 champs.
Also, Lester, Papi and Papelbon return to Fenway Park.

All right, where do I begin?

The Red Sox score a run off Jon Lester in the 2nd, and again in the 5th.
The only two hits off Curt Schilling (no bloody ankles this time, Yankees fans) are from Oropesa, the rookie catcher.
The Hawks, don't give up, though, and score runs in the 8th and 9th to send it to extra innings.
Lester pitches 8 2/3 innings, and Patricio Marino comes on.
Schilling pitches 10 innings, then Okajima comes in.
Nothing in the 10th or 11th innings, but in the 12th inning, Okajima tries to throw a changeup inside to Rykel Soriano after delivering a meatball to Felix Fernandez, on second base now.
Soriano proceeds to crush it OUT OF THE PARK, over the Green Monster, and it's 4-2.
For good measure, with 2 outs, Big Papi hits a homer to the Green Monster, and Pika Choo nets the save to put the Cinderella Hawks in the World Series against the league-best Mets.

Any comments?
