But wow, I kept playing this franchise even though I stopped here. I'm in the 2009 offseason now.


I finished with a record of 95-67

Finishing with the 4th best record in the majors and second in the national league.

I lost in the NLDS to the..... To the..... "revived" Pirates franchise, in a 5 game thriller.

Hopefully. Also on side notes: Ryan Sweeney came out as the surprise player of the team, he ended up with 3 HR and 30RBI and batted .256. He mostly started in right batting 8th and if you know his batting skills you'll agree that that is a surprise.

Unfortunatley, the two players acquired in trades (Inge and Yadier) had overall, disappointing seasons. Yadier batted sub-par at .231. Inge did better with 17HR and 82RBI but a poor .243 avg disappointed.

I almost traded for a power LF as the offense struggled this year, almost last in Runs Scored in the Majors! But I would have had to give up to much.

The Jordan Tata trade ended up working great for us! Tata has 1.51 ERA in 8 spot starts going 4-1 with 3 ND. If Kazmir, Lowry, and Sanchez (#3 4, and 5 starters respectively) he would be given one of those spots in the rotation. He will ber given the opportunity to compete for number 5 spot and a swing man role in the bullpen.
