May was not the Jaguars' month at all.

The Jaguars posted a 12-15 record for the month, falling to a 35-20 record.

The only bright spots were Douglas Douglass' season ERA of 2.13 (He's 6-1) and Huston Street's converting of 8 straight saves after missing 4 of his first 5 (ridiculous, damn simulating).

The only reason the record is that good is because they played 6 games against the New Orleans Eagles (5-1 in those games), who own the second worst record in the majors, just in front of the O's, with only 15 wins.

Other Notes:
-Yoma Ma only hit 3 homers, though his BA is still over .400.
-The Cubs currently own the best record in the majors by two games over the Mets and Jags, at 37-18.
-The NL West has only one team above .500 (the Pods, at 28-27), but the last place team, the D-Backs, is only 3 games back, the only division in the majors with no teams at least 10 games back through May 31.

I do plan to focus on developing my rookies more, as I'm winding down any trading for now.
I will post all stat changes as of June 1st in a minute, to let you know what's been going on since the season began.
Also, the draft is about a week and a half from now, so I'm hoping I can acquire some talent there as well.

As for the rookies to build around, obviously Ma and Douglass have to be looked out for.
However, I'm also keeping a close eye on Ethan Crozier (can easily be EDDDC by end of season), Chad Rijo (great talent for a rookie pitcher), Matt Reynolds (DBEDE by end of season?), and Yorman Bazardo (against the Angels, for his first appearance, he pitched 3 innings of no-hit, 6 K relief.)

maybe you could kind of do a game log every so often just to see the competetion, the big games and what not. maybe give a mini game log for some of the important games and stuff like but you might not have time for that so it's fine if you don't

I'll do that.
the schedule is really weird, though.
I play, what two dozen or so divisional games in April and September, and about 12 in the other months.
Also, while I only play the A's 8 times, I play the other 3 divisional rivals at least 10 times.

tell me about it, I hate the schedules sometimes

once I had 1 interleague series the WHOLE year, just 1 !

and not to mention that I usually play the same 3 or 4 teams in my division for the first month and usually the last month

oh, and i have 3 games vs. the rockies, brewers and nationals on consecutive days (one day off b/w them), then, on three consecutive WEEKENDS, 9 games against the dodgers to finish off my interleague schedule.
the games in between LAD series aren't interleague, though.

oh, and I'm taking a quick rock band/lunch break, be back in half an hour.

In the first All-Star voting ballot released, Ma and Markakis were both second in the voting in the AL for their respective positions.

Also, Interleague play starts today.
If any series is worthy, I'll post a game-by-game log.
