Kennedy should practice fielding. I don't know if I have any pitchers.

I have a question for all of you. What characters that haven't gotten a lot of attention do you want to have story arcs for? It gets hard to balance these characters out and I feel that sometimes a character gets the short end of the stick. So who do you want to see more of?

You'll have to check, but I believe Keith Richards and WildThing are open.

Well that's embarrassing, past Paul.

I'll try to get an update in over the weekend.

Spring Training Update

Record: 2-2

One win, one loss to the Yankees
Win against the Orioles
Loss to the Mets

The team looks good this year. The loss to the Mets always hurts especially when the score was 6-1, but it's just Spring Training. The important thing about Spring Training is individual improvement and determining your lineup so you can prepare for the upcoming season. Brian Wilson looks to have improved upon his control and Paul McCartney and Yu Darvish look to provide a fabulous 1-2 punch in the starting rotation. The ever stellar offense looks par for the course and the Scranton Stranglers look ready to compete for another World Series.

We'll see you opening day.

Opening Day

Stranglers
vs Dodgers

Hey, folks! It's that time of year again. Stranglers baseball is back. The Stranglers opened up yesterday at Panpaka Park hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Paul McCartney was the opening day starter facing off against the newly acquired Johan Santana for the Dodgers. Santana is hardly an unfamiliar face to McCartney or the rest of the Stranglers as he is the former Mets' ace. The Stranglers have achieved moderate success against Santana. Let's see what they were able to do today.

The first three innings were completely scoreless, but that changed when Santana left a change up too high in the strike zone and Ryan Howard made him pay with a solo home run. However, the Dodgers struck back in the top of the fifth when, after a two out double by Orlando Hudson, Andre Ethier hit an RBI single to tie the game up. Ethier tried to take second, but McCartney cut off the throw to the plate and gunned Ethier down. The threat was over, but the damage was done.

Both pitchers were throwing really well considering that neither had their best stuff. The Stranglers offense, save Howard was definitely off their game as well. In the bottom of the seventh inning, George Harrison started off with a single followed by a killer sacrifice bunt from McCartney. Pablo Sanchez was then walked and Ringo Starr hit a single. Kennedy then came up with the bases loaded and grounded to short. Instead of throwing home, a double play was attempted and Kennedy beat the throw. The score was 2-1 when Ryan Howard stepped up and hit a bases clearing triple. That's right, he eats fresh.

McCartney pitched into the ninth inning, but was immediately given the hook after giving up a hit.
"It was one of those things where Pep(per) sent me out their and said 'If a runner gets on, your down for the day' One of those times when you can pitch the inning if you had to, but you're getting tired" McCartney would later say.

Brian Wilson came on in the ninth, but no one recognized him without his beard. Fans got excited thinking he was a surprise acquisition. They were disappointed when they found out it was just beardless Brian. They weren't disappointed when he got the save and the Stranglers started off the year with a solid victory.

Stranglers: 4
Dodgers: 1

WP: McCartney
LP: Santana
Save: Wilson
MVP: Howard
