well, 440PP per year, I assume. so it turns out to be 880PP total.

That's pathetic for Bautista.

If you offer, say, a 2 year deal for 400 points, is that 400 points over 2 years, or is it 400 points per year?

I think it's the latter, but I'm not sure.

That's what I figured too. It makes sense. But I also wasn't sure. :(

I would assume it's per year. If it was 400 over two years, you would have 200 a year, which is below the league minimum.

I think I got a pretty good haul this time out. Some guys will end up being trade bait, most likely. I got a nice pair of starters, a decent veteran lefty, a solid backup catcher, a pretty good second baseman, and a good outfielder. Agents/fans, let me know if you have any suggestions for trades and/or let me know how I did.

Well, you didn't get Zambrano, so I'd say you failed. Big time. He would have been a total steal.

Offseason Wrapup

Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before we travel to Florida for Spring Training, I'd like to make note of some things to wrap up:

In addition to the group of players we collected earlier, we grabbed 2B Jose Altuve (B/C/C/E/C/C) on a 1yr., 1790PP deal. The 24 year-old will be stashed in the minors as infield depth, at least for now.

The Indians offered OF Shin-Soo Choo (.288/12/97) for RP Joakim Soria (2.36), which I declined.

I've gathered a list of players I might consider looking into trading for later on. They are as such:

    TOR 3B Lawrie
    TOR OF Rasmus
    BOS SS Zuniga
    NYY OF J.Upton
    MIN SS Lomnasey
    KC RP Broxton
    LAA RP L.Coleman
    TEX SS Andrus
    ATL IF/OF N.Green
    WAS OF/C Harper
    LAD OF Totten
    LAD 3B Eldridge
    SF SP Bumgarner
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's about it. Scouts/fans/agents, if you have any suggestions to improve the team this year, speak your mind. That said, off to Spring Training!

Please. Don't get Colby Rasmus. I would quit watching the team if the Eagles acquired him. He's such an asshole.

Other than that, I'd be happy to have any of those players on the team.

2017 Spring Training

What are the Eagles working on this Spring Training to step up their game for the impending season? How will the new and returning players bond? The Eagles went out in a disappointing way in 2016 and can only hope for a better finish in 2017.

Any reason why?

I just realized that it's become a big pet peeve of mine when people give negative opinions without ever giving a reason why. I think GameFaqs is to blame for that...

Well, I did hear a story about the falling out he had with St. Louis where he didn't want to talk to or see Tony LaRussa after the Cardinals won the WS a couple years ago, because he wasn't happy with how STL had used him before he got traded to Toronto. That's the major reason why; he can be such a head case at times. A minor reason is the slide into Omar Infante a few weeks ago, but that was only part of the reason.
