Today, I'm going to try to start an expansion team - make no trades - just train them for 3 years or so, and then save as arrange team.

Then, I will pull them into another season - and start with them better. The question is - does their age stay the same as the first season, or will they resort back to their earlier ages, since it goes by date?

Yep - ages go back, stats stay, salaries go up.

All of your rookies will be back to 6 yrs until free agency, and they get all the boosts. So, in theory, you could keep training them into a super team. It took about 1 1/2 hours to do 3 seasons worth of training, save, then re-load them.

So if you wanted to do this, you can:

1) Ignore the salaries - they will change after you save your team anyway, based on the stats of the player.
2) Ignore the lineups - they don't save. You will have to reset your lineup after you save your team and load it in.
3) I reccomend only drafting pitchers - they are the only ones worth drafting who's stats increase enough to use in the cycle. I suppose you could, in theory, try to draft an entire team of 4 star players and see how they improve. That might be something to try when I'm bored.

So...... You could actually make a 20 year team if you wanted to.

Yes, but it will be stupid because the other teams wont have the same rosters because we can only save our team as an arrange mode team.

But - I plan to make 32 'expansion' arrange teams - all updated/upgraded/practiced through 4-5 years, and do a season with 30 expansion teams.

I like to play with fake players more than the 'real' players.

Ahh, good idea, I do also like to play with fake players, not more than real ones but I still like to play with fake players. It'd be sooo much better(atleast for me) if we could save every single team in the league, then I could have a never ending season mode, but the ages would be all messed up, some people(or everyone) would play forever.

The downside is that there will still be no free agents.

I was kind of hoping the contracts would stay the same - so that they would become free agents - but they don't. So - 6 years with no FA.
