Game 1 @ Cleveland
May 5th, 2014
(My 15th birthday )

Oakland: 4 (18-15)
Cleveland: 1 (11-22)

W - A.J. Griffin 3-0 2.48 ERA
L - Justin Masterson 1-4 6.64 ERA
S - Sean Doolittle (8)
HR - Josh Donaldson (9)

Cleveland -- The A's bats didn't wake up until the 6th innings in this game, and immediately proceeded to go back to sleep after. All 4 of the A's runs and hits came in the sixth inning of today's game. Were it not for the 6th inning, the Indians would have had a combined perfect game. A.J. Griffin also had a phenomenal outing for the A's, going 7 innings allowing 1 run, and striking out 11. The Indians run came off of 2 doubles, one by Raburn, and the other by Michael Brantley to score Raburn. In fact, all 4 of the Indians hits in this game were doubles, as Cabrera and Gomes each tacked on doubles of their own. The Athletics runs came from Callaspo singling, Reddick doubling, Crisp singling scoring 1, and a 3-run homer by Josh Donaldson. The A's look to take games 2 and 3 from the Indians to make their season record against them 6-0.

Notables
A.J. Griffin W 7IP 4H 11K 1R 1ER
Josh Donaldson 1-4 HR (9) 3RBI R
Josh Reddick 1-3 2B R

Michael Brantley 1-4 2B RBI
Ryan Raburn 1-3 2B R
Yan Gomes 2-3 2B
