Posting:

* Individual players should be in their own thread, with the full name of the player and position(s) in the title. Don't add superlatives or any other shout outs to it... we will see your guys...
* If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate.
* Posting images are fine, provided they are small in dimension and data. 800x600 and ~50Kb should be the biggest you can post inline (using the [IMG] tag), anything larger, post a link or a clickable thumbnail instead.
* If you have wiki rights, add your player(s) and team(s) there as well!

My First Gyroballer... Thanks to everyone who helped with the Gyroball search.

I was able to get the "gamblers ring" fairly early on but this is only the second pitcher I have made so I don't know what is better to focus on. I typically go for abilities, since they are harder to obtain in life mode, but I was more worried about obtaining the gyroball than pumping up any of his attributes. I think I might have spent too much time on Patty...

*Special thanks to MrWelz for his detailed Gyro guide for Nov-Jan*

hes got a 105 mph that hitters can't react to and the stamina to play catch with the catcher all game.

Very nice, this is definetly one of the best Gyro Ball pitchers and one of the better ones out there. Its definetly the best for the PS2 (and only haha). By the way mate, this goes in the MLB Power Pros 2008 Password Exchange.

Yeah, I might consider using this guy for my team and I had promised myself I wouldn't use anyone I didn't make for a starter (only for back ups, possibly). You make me very sad, untill you made this thread, I think I had the best Gryo-Baller . Oh well haha, it was going to happen soon anyway mate. Brilliant job again. There's a good chance a mod will come and move this.

So do you guys have any suggestions on what pitches are the best to choose and what abilities to look for?

I basically have only really used 4 pitches... I added the vertical slider because it looked like people liked that one.
For left handed batters I use Fastball, DCB and Palm...
For Righties I use Fastball, Sinker, Palm
Basically for me it seems like pitches breaking in to batters are harder for them to hit while they tend to reach out and at least tip pitches that break out. I would rate this guy as good but not great. So I need some help.

What has worked for you guys?

Of course I'll post his password just didn't know if anyone wanted it. After all this is why we come here, to help and share.

I hope you guys will give me some good advice on how to build a good pitcher though. What are your favorite strikeout pitches, stats, and abilities?

Here goes...
