It has been noted by many that the site seems to be unresponsive and slow these past weeks. Darkshade has mentioned it to the hosting company and they said they'll look into the issue.

As it stands, the site may still suffer from overloading as we approach the release of MLB Power Pros 2008. I hope that this site will be booming with veteran and rookie users who are looking to get that edge they've been looking for on this new game.

PLEASE be patient with this site. Click ONCE when submitting posts, edits, uploads, etc. to the database. Posts and other updates to the website can take as much as THIRTY MINUTES (30) to be visible.

This also applies to the wiki, as both are on the same server.

Darkshade and the rest of the moderators will try to keep you up to date on the status of the servers.

Thanks,

And I quote from the blanket email set earlier today.

Darkshade wrote:
Well, it's not exactly what I'd call 'scheduled'. My service provider is
upgrading their hardware and given me about 8 hours notice before the
transition occurs. This site may or may not be up until midnight tonight,
at which time they transition will occur and we may be down until the
morning/afternoon of the 29th, which of course is the release of MLB Power
Pros 2008 (nice timing!).

I have been assured that once this is all over, we should have fast speeds
and no more connection errors, so please be patient with us while they do
their work. The site will return as soon as possible so we can all chat up
about MLB Power Pros 2008 and all it has to offer.

Thanks.

As with all replacements of hardware (I used to do this for a living), I don't expect it to go smoothly (why would it ever?). Expect the site to have delays up until midnight, and I don't expect it back online running full tilt until Tuesday evening.

In addition, in light of the release, we are temporarily blocking all posts/edits to the wiki. The plan will be to wait about a few weeks to establish the basics of gameplay and strategy, etc. before we allow everyone to post edits to the wiki.

Even then, the FORUMS will be the place to verify your findings BEFORE you post. You'll need to have multiple people (preferibly a moderator or admin too) be able to verify your facts. Remember, this game has multiple paths and each path itself may have random outcomes, so expect multiple situations during play-throughs.

Thanks for understanding and happy release day!
