If you (not me, not the guy you're trading with, but you) want one of the trades vetoed, we can do that. But this is just a reminder that if another owner wants to trade for someone like Sale or Donaldson, please try and make sure you're getting equal value in return. All it takes is a couple bad trades to become last place team for years.

Are you kidding me? Now you're just abusing your status as league commissioner, we let the other trade go through after a rough patch, but now because you're not okay with it, he can veto it? Let it go through, jesus christ. He accepted it.

I'm letting it go through. If he didn't want it going through, his option was going to be trying to convince others to veto it. I wasn't going to use my LM powers

Calm down

Oh.

Okay.

I'll do that.

The thing about this is that I don't want anyone taking advantage of cbass. As someone put it, "Given that this is a new member, I think the rarely used 'protecting the best interests of the league' clause needs to be used, or you're going to end up with a dead franchise." And I think that's true. It's a fine line, because you want to protect the new guy from being ripped off again, but on the other hand, you don't want to outright ban him from trading.

I don't want to punish you or Agent from pouncing and getting a bit lucky, it's just I don't want it to happen again to prevent the team from never being able to complete. Do you understand what I'm trying to say here? I want cbass to have freedom to make trades how he pleases, but I also need to make sure he doesn't essentially kill his team, since that hurts the league.

Also, I feel like you guys underestimate E5's value. He's a *(censored)* monster

Who is E5?

and I felt the trade filled needs for both teams - short-term help for cbass, specifically at key positions, and a long-term 1B for me, since I don't think I can trust Norris long-term. Plus, it gave me a roster spot in the form of Buchholz.

Encarnacion

And the short-term help is the important part, because that won't help him compete this year. Not even the *(censored)* all-star team would help him compete because of the damage Ace did. It's not that these are bad trades (which, they are, but I can look past that), it's that it shows that cbass doesn't know what strategy he should be using. That's partially my fault for not explaining it to him, and partially him just being new to this. He should be looking for long term help so he has a chance to compete next season. That's why I really hope he doesn't trade away Sale or Donaldson (he only studs left) for anything less than they're worth, and that's what I'm trying to help prevent. I don't want to seem like I'm managing his team for him, but I don't want a ruined franchise. If they go, his best three players become Gonzalez, Cain, and Marte. Not a very intimidating core

We were testing to see if the "one player for nothing" trade worked

I will listen to offers for any starting pitcher on my roster except for Kluber and Wacha. I'm especially looking for power hitters.

Would you consider Michael Bourn a "power hitter"?

Also, I'll listen to offers for Hamels

He either strikes out or hits a double or a dinger.

It's interesting how four tiers of teams have developed in the standings, with the Swingers pretty much in a league of their own. It's going to be hard for me, phillies, and Prediction to break into 5th and above considering we're all down by at least 10 points.

Still trying to deal pitchers.
