Post subject:  Northwestern Wildcats: Trying Not to Get Blown Out in a Bowl

After two straight 5-7 seasons, head coach Pat Fitzgerald and the Northwestern Wildcats are looking for a bounce back season. Not much is expected from the 'Cats, especially with an uncertainty at the QB position, with a threeway QB battle between Zack Oliver, Clayton Thorson, and Matt Alviti. Sources close to Camp Kenosha have stated that Clayton Thorson looks like the early favorite, as he is skilled in both running and passing. However, Thorson is a redshirt freshman, meaning he has no college football experience. Another bright spot is sophomore RB Justin Jackson, who is looking to continue off of a great season in 2014. The Wildcats defense is led by another sophomore, Anthony Walker Jr. It will be interesting to see how the 'Cats will perform after the loss of quarterback Trevor Siemian.

It was a wild game this afternoon, as the Wildcats upset the #24 Stanford Cardinal with a 14-10 victory. The first half was rough, when Clayton Thorson threw 2 interceptions. However, the fourth quarter was a new story for the Cardiac Cats, as a fake punt attempt gave the 'Cats plenty of momentum. Clayton Thorson was intercepted for a third time on the drive, but Traveon Henry intercepted QB Kevin Hogan. Clayton Thorson connected with Christian Jones for a touchdown, making it 10-7. The Cats defense made a huge stop on a fourth down, giving the Cats one chance to win. Clayton Thorson connected with Jones yet again to the 15 yard line. With six seconds to go, Thorson found Dan Vitale for a touchdown! Stanford nearly returned the following kickoff for a touchdown, but Dontonio Cajuste was brought down by Matthew Harris, giving the 'Cats a 14-10 win.

No way dude, that's awesome! And he's not unfortunately, Idk why. This update was made in June. (May explain why McCaffrey isn't starting)

Yeah, he was a deep reserve at the time, but really came on the last two years

Are we doing agents? If so, I'd like:

the Superback himself, Dan Vitale
stud cornerback Matthew Harris
3rd-string QB Matt Alviti
