Game 10: Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3) @ Tennessee Titans (2-7)

Summary: It was a battle between the league's best pass defense (Jacksonville) and league's worst (Tennessee). Both offenses were abysmal in the first quarter, but the Titans finally broke through on a 15-yard Steve McNair TD pass to Chris Brown. Byron Leftwich found Kyle Brady for a one-yard score to tie it, but Chris Brown had a 1-yard score before the half to make it 14-7. Leftwich led the Jags on a long scoring drive to start the second half, and took the ball himself for a two-yard score. However, after Tennessee punted, Kyle Vanden Bosch strip-sacked Leftwich and Antwan Odom recovered for a touchdown, giving the Titans a 21-14 lead. Leftwich couldn't be stopped, though- he threw an 18-yard TD pass to Ernest Wilford to tie it, and a 7-yard score to Matt Jones to take the lead in the fourth. The Jags would add a field goal to make it 31-21. The Titans would attempt to come back, McNair threw a 8-yard TD to Roydell Williams with less than a minute left. The Jaguars would recover the onside kick, however, giving them a 31-28 victory.

Game 11: Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3) @ Arizona Cardinals (3-7)

Summary: The Jags easy schedule continued vs Arizona. Neil Rackers missed a field goal on the Cardinals' first drive, and Jacksonville took over. Then, something bad happened- QB Byron Leftwich, who had been on fire lately, was injured when he was hit by Adrian Wilson. It's a broken ankle that will take 6 weeks to heal, effectively ending his season. Backup QB David Garrard took over, and scored on a 16-yard run, giving the Jaguars a 7-0 lead. The Jags would get a field goal in the second quarter, giving them a 10-0 lead at the half. Josh Scobee missed a field goal to start the second half, and the Cards took advantage with a field goal of their own. However, Jaguars return-man Derrick Wimbush would take the ensuing kickoff 91-yards, giving them a 17-3 lead. Both teams would trade scores in the fourth (Kurt Warner passed for two TDs, Greg Jones had a 25-yard run.) Up 24-17 with the Cardinals driving, Akin Ayodele forced a Kurt Warner fumble and Rob Meier recovered, giving Jacksonville a 24-17 victory.

Game 12: Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) @ Cleveland Browns (4-7)

Summary: The Jaguars took on the Browns for the last game of a three-game road trip, in snowy Cleveland. The Jags got things started on a Josh Scobee field goal in the first, for a 3-0 lead. But the Browns would strike back in the second, when Charlie Frye hit star receiver Braylon Edwards for a 34-yard TD, giving the Browns a 7-3 lead. After Paul Dawson missed a field goal, David Garrard was intercepted, and the Browns capitalized with another Frye-to-Edwards touchdown. The Browns looked primed to pull of the upset, heading into the half up 14-3. The third quarter was a different tale for the Jags- a Josh Scobee field goal made it 14-6, and a David Garrard TD pass to George Wrightster would pull them within one. After a defensive stand, Garrard found Jimmy Smith for a 12-yard score, for a 20-14 lead. That's all they would need- the Jaguars' ferocious defense shut out the Browns thereafter, as Jacksonville improved to 9-3.

I played him injured, and he kept getting stuffed by the Titans' D-Line. Then I benched him for Greg Jones.

, okay

Oh, our starting center, Brad Meester, is out for the season with a torn tricep. He'll be replaced by backup Dennis Norman.

Game 13: Indianapolis Colts: (12-0) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (9-3)

Summary: The Jaguars faced the undefeated Colts in their most important game of the year, trying to make sure they wouldn't become the first undefeated team since the '72 Dolphins. It was Peyton Manning who got the Colts rolling, leading them down the field an finding Marvin Harrison for a touchdown for a 7-0 lead. The Jags got a field goal to make it 7-3, but Manning hit Harrison for a huge 65-yard score, giving the Colts a 14-3 lead. They tacked on three more before the half, and it was 17-3, Colts, going into halftime. The Colts got the ball to start the second half, and they tacked on a field goal for a 20-3 lead. The Jaguars' offense was dismal, and Kyle Brady fumbled the ball three times, losing two. The Colts took advantage with two more field goals to make it 26-3. David Garrard tried a comeback, but fumbled in the red zone. The Jaguars did get the ball back, and this time, Garrard ran it in to cut the lead to 26-10. Josh Scobee's onside kick was successful, and Garrard orchestrated another drive, throwing a touchdown to Jimmy Smith, and converting a two-point conversion by running it in himself to make it 26-18. It wasn't enough, unfortunately, as the Colts ran out the clock to sweep the season series.

Game 14: San Francisco 49ers (2-11) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4)

Summary: The Jaguars looked to bounce back against the putrid 49ers. The '9ers struck first in the first quarter, when Joe Nedney got a field goal to make it 3-0. That would remain the score until midway through the second quarter, when David Garrard ran the ball 13 yards for a touchdown, and a 7-3 Jags' lead. Alex Smith helped lead his team to their second field goal, but it would still remain just 7-6 at the half. The 49ers would take the lead at the end of the third quarter, a third Nedney field goal made it 9-7. But the Jaguars countered with a drive of their own, and a Josh Scobee field goal made it 10-9. The Jaguars held the '9ers offense in check the rest of the way, cornerback Kenny Wright intercepted Alex Smith, and the Jaguars improved to 10-4 in a closer game than expected.

Game 15: Jacksonville Jaguars (10-4) @ Houston Texans (2-12)

Summary: The Jaguars traveled to Reliant Stadium, trying to wrap up the wild card. The Jags got things started when David Garrard and Fred Taylor led them down the field, and LaBrandon Toefield took it in for a 7-0 lead. The Texans weren't about to back down, Kris Brown drilled a field goal and David Carr threw a 50-yard TD pass to Corey Bradford to make it 10-7. The Jaguars would tie it on a Josh Scobee field goal, but the Texans would also get one to lead 13-10 at the half. The Jaguars raced out of the gate at half time, LaBrandon Toefield would rush for his second TD to make it 17-13. But in the fourth quarter, Carr threw a 53-yard TD bomb to Andre Johnson to give the Texans a 20-17 lead. But Garrard led the Jaguars right down the field, and Fred Taylor took in in for a 15-yard score to make it 24-20. The Texans tried to come back, but Kris Brown missed his second field goal of the day, and then Garrard hit Ernest Wilford for a 36-yard score to make it 31-20. A Terry Cousin interception set up Toefield's third TD score of the day, as the Jaguars won to win the wild card.

With a lopsided score, the Jaguars put in third-string QB Quinn Gray for the second half. He immediately got going, finding Matt Jones for a 10-yard score to make it 34-0. Later, he found Ernest Wilford for a 14-yard TD, although Josh Scobee missed the extra point.
