Aldridge puts up 34 in big win over Sacramento
November 9th, 2013.
Sacramento Kings (1-3) @ Portland Trailblazers (3-1)
Image

Portland Trailblazers: 120 (28-28-26-38)
Sacramento Kings: 90 (22-27-23-18)

LaMarcus Aldridge (34 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks)
Isaiah Thomas (19 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists)

Portland -- A big win tonight as Rip City moves up to 4-1 and fourth in the conference. LaMarcus Aldridge had a huge night, putting up 34 points as well as crashing the glass and denying shots like he was Nerlens Noel. The captain hit 16 shots on 23 attempts and now leads the league in field goals made in a single game for the season.

"I did what had to get done, some nights I'm good, some nights I'm great. I guess today was one of those nights.

The rest of the team was stellar as well, going 51/84 (61%) in field goal attempts for the night and putting up a huge 120 points.

Sacramento wasn't at the top of their game this game, scoring just ninety points with an abysmal field goal percentage. Isaiah Thomas was the teams top scorer for the night but struggled in his spot to lead the team, going 8/23 and 1/8 behind the three point line.

"I know what I did wrong and I'm definitely going to improve on that. I guess you could say I was a ball hog today, but I was just trying to help my team."

Both teams didn't just have one player manning the offence, on the Trailblazers, Thomas Robinson dominated the rebounding portion of the game with sixteen, getting more boards than points (15). For Sacramento, John Salmons was solid, hitting up 16 points to go up with his 4 assists for the night as well as two steals to add to his teams 11 overall.

The Portland Trailblazers play the Sacramento Kings once more tomorrow night at 7PM EST at Sleep Train Arena in the capital of California.

Boston puts up 112 but falls eventually in a close match against Portland
November 15th, 2013.
Portland Trailblazers (6-2) @ Boston Celtics (4-5)
Image
Boston Celtics: 112 (30-28-20-34)
Portland Trailblazers: 113 (27-22-29-35)

Rajon Rondo (30 points, 2 rebounds, 11 assists)
LaMarcus Aldridge (32 points, 7 rebounds, 6 blocks)

Boston -- Rajon Rondo had a great night, and so did the rest of the team, but it was too much for the rebuilding squad against a new Portland team as they fell in an intense game that was back and forth the whole night. The Boston Celtics are still in possession of the eighth seed as Milwaukee fell as well but they must be careful if they hope to maintain a playoff spot.

Jared Sullinger was a mammoth for the Celtics on the glass, getting nineteen boards, a career high to go with 14 points. The Celtics had fifty four rebounds to the Trailblazers 38 and explains why they were so dominant until something in Portland clicked in the third quarter.

LaMarcus Aldridge had another "great" game but against the Celtics this time. The big man from the University of Texas scored 32 points to go with seven rebounds and a season high six blocks to add on to that already stellar performance. He also went 8/8 from the free throw line.

"Yeah, I was really trying to swat those balls outta here, you know? I was trying to be a little bit of everything on the floor tonight, offence, defence, it was a pretty productive and fun night for me.

Damian Lillard played solid for Portland as well, hitting up twenty-seven points including a clutch three to put the team up by 1 at the end which turned up being the decisive shot in the game. He's a scoring playmaker and showed that dishing out 8 assists, two shy of the double-double.

Catch the Boston Celtics on Sunday as they face off against their division rivals in Philadelphia.

I love playing with Portland on NBA 2K13. So many weapons - Lillard, Matthews, Aldridge...With Robinson they'll be even better.

would you guys be okay if we did an early season deal? Mo Williams is bitching about how he doesn't get playing time and his rating is going down two spikes and is making the team cry ;-;

I would prefer you change the team name to the Portland Weedblazers, in a more Prediction-like style.

And trade Mo for Gordan Hayward from the Jazz.

Yeah, that's the deal I got from the jazz plus a second rounder so I might do that.

Hayward was passed on in my fantasy league, got him with the last pick

Possible three team move on the way?
November 16th, 2013.

Portland -- Rumors are swirling around the NBA that a potential three team move is on the way, including our very own Trailblazers. Some of the players mentioned are Reggie Evans from the Brooklyn Nets and Mo Williams from Rip City. So far it appears to be a dead end as Reggie Evans is a aging power forward which is a deep position for Portland and Mo Williams is a solid sixth man on a good team or even a starter on a decent one. We're not sure so far who the third team would be but we'll update you as soon as we get the information.

Trailblazers deal with Jazz, send Mo for Hayward
November 23rd, 2013.

Portland -- Our suspicions of a trade were confirmed, but the rumours only partially true. Mo Williams, was sent to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Gordon Hayward, a sharpshooter behind the three point line, as well as the Jazz' 2014 second round pick. Mo Williams was reportedly frustrated with his smaller amount of minutes as compared to what he could get with a different team. He now has the opportunity to start in Utah, and guide a young squad as well as teaching the younger Trey Burke what it takes to be an NBA point guard.

Newly acquired Hayward reportedly starting SG
November 24th, 2013.

Portland -- Gordon Hayward, whom was recently acquired in a trade with the Utah a Jazz has reportedly become the starting shooting guard, taking over a struggling Wesley Matthews spot. Wesley has been putting up career lows in points and assists.

"Wesley Matthews has been struggling as opposed to Gordon Hayward, who has a better stat line (points, assists, rebounds) than the 27 year old guard. He's a solid piece and I think he'll be able to play solidly. Wesley Matthews will get a good amount of minutes off the bench and perhaps another switch will occur if he goes back to regular performance."
