You'll Never Walk Alone has never been sung this loud since that fateful night in Istanbul in 2005. This was by far our biggest match since then. Liverpool came out motivated. Jackson Martinez stole the ball and passed it to Daniel Sturridge for a great goal! Minutes later, Jackson Martinez scored a goal of his own to make it 2-0. Daniel Sturridge scored yet another goal to make it 3-0. Manchester United were absolutely stunned. Robin Van Persie cut it to 3-1. Man U couldn't keep up with Liverpool and lost 3-1.

FINAL:
Liverpool 3
Manchester United 1

Goals:
Sturridge '2 (10)
Martinez '9 (2)

Liverpool messed up early, as Kolo Toure did not clear the ball, but instead tried to dribble away. The ball was stolen and struck in for a goal. A dirty tackle by Ashley Young took down Jackson Martinez. Martinez was injured. Raheem Sterling tied up the second leg with a great goal. In the 86th minute, Manchester United scored a goal on a great cross and an even better header. However, Liverpool still led 4-3 on aggregate. Manchester United threatened to score, but couldn't find the back of the net, and lost on aggregate. After the match, Man U supporters attacked a group of Liverpool supporters. The riots lasted for three hours after the match. Over 2,500 were arrested and 500 were killed. 80% of those killed were Liverpool supporters. 95% of those arrested were Manchester United supporters. The whole football world was shocked.

Manchester United 2 (3)

Biggest Game of the Season

This is it. Our chance to win the Premiership. A win would put us three points behind Man City for first in the EPL. We needed this one badly. A memorial service was held before the match to mourn the deaths of the Liverpool fans at Old Trafford.
