I also got Head First Slide on the first Robbie Powerin Random Event at the Supermarket. (Yes card).

I've noticed with my Arrange Team/Success Mode players that those who have Head First Slide are more prone to injury while using it than a standard slide, especially if they have to make a split-second decision to either hit the base or make a run for it.

Not really a concern in this game as I have never experienced an injury that lasted more than a few games. I might have turned injuries off accidentally since I seem to never get them.

I had my 1st baseman injure their elbow in a head first slide and had to put them on the 15 day DL

Had a good backup though and ended up taking the position from the starter as he was a better hitter

I've heard H1S ends up being slower for run speeds 13 and up. I'm not sure if that was for busting down the 1B line or stealing bases.

Well if you think about it, it's slower to slide than to continue to run.

Just had another H1S injury today, my SS slid into 1st and injured his arm. He's okay now since he has Durability 4

I know. I hate that ability. I love tough runner, though. I was playing my brother in an exhibition game and I my knocked over his catcher, injuring him. My brother got really pissed because he only had two catchers and his second one kind of stunk.

During the tutoring job, Mom asked me how her son was doing. I used a NO card and got Groundball Pitcher.

Were there any negatives from that?

I always use a Challenge card for $100 more.

I don't know how to edit the wiki...but I got Cannon Arm (laser beam) from challenging the theme park date with Annie. Seems you get Rally hitter or cannon arm.

Probably already noted and cited (it wasn't in the wiki), but just in case...

now thats interesting. I didn't think Battler would be so useful, given that it is so easy to get (with gambling). I noticed it is the opposite of Pokerface, but I don't see how. It's like Cautious and Aggressive whatever, so that if you get one, you don't get the other. I wonder why Contact and Power hitter aren't like that.

Battler and pokerface i think wont show your guy sweating, so batters don't know he is getting tired, since sweating decreases your pitching ability by a small amount. The difference is when your guy starts panting. When he starts panting his pitching ability is decreased by a lot. Battler shows your guy panting, so you can take him out without him getting smacked around. Pokerface doesn't show him panting, so he will get rocked until you figure it out. It probably also affects when AI takes out your player as well.

Do you think pr small ball is a good ability for a powerful hitter?

I mean, you don't want your home run hitter wasting a turn bunting right?

I thought that that was Aggressive Fielding.
