Not too late at all. Plenty of time to get the pitch and upgrade several times.

Thank you. I am always worried something isn't going to go right. Happened several times. Spend a few hours on a player then have to restart. I am currently trying to get an original pitch and intimidator(if possible).

does anybody know if its possible to upgrade it every turn, or will he stop coming after 20 or so upgrades? i was thinking of making a pitcher and save/reloading until i at least get a pitch upgraded 30 or so times. also, can you only use a certain upgrade for so many times, then any upgrade after that will have no effect? i'd like to be able to see how many upgrades it takes to make a big noticeable difference.

I don't think anyone's been able to do it that many times. I do know that Ryan Soohoo upgraded velocity at least 10 times, for his guy.

i started a player earlier today and my guys dad has already visited me three times for money and its June wk 4 yr 1. i'd say the earliest you can/should do it is the week after your guys dad asks if your guy will help him with his job.

Well, I said that because I didn't think anyone would be able to answer your question. In total Ryan upgraded 15 times (approximately). I'm pretty sure that it's possible to do more.

i was also planning on modifying a slow curve with like 7 slow down upgrades and 10 better break upgrades. do you thin kit would be anything like an eephus?

Sort of. I think the eephus pitch breaks more vertically, and it still may be too fast if you have respectable fastball. Of course, I'm not sure because I obviously haven't done it. Is the slow curve the slowest pitch?

The Eephus isn't actually a breaking pitch, it's just a lob ball like an overhand slow pitch softball trajectory. It would be interesting to see if you could approximate it with a breaking ball and dad's upgrades. I think you'd be better off trying it with a drop curve (more vertical less horizontal than a slow curve) or a vertical slider.

The drop curve and vertical slider are harder thrown pitches than the slow curve.

True :) You'd have to get a bunch of upgrade events to do the "better slow down" type of modification. You're right though, it'd be tougher speed wise to use a DCB even though the trajectory better matches an Eephus than the SCB does.

Maybe a Palm ball? I've never used a pitcher with a decent Fosh, I wonder what that'd look like?

Both Rollie Fingers and Shaman King (KingCobretti and Me, respectively) have a level 7 Foshball coupled with a 105 top speed. The speed of it is mid-high 80's (around 86) - unless I'm completely confusing it with something else - I haven't used each pitcher that much recently.

Palmball might be good, though.
