These, as far as I know, are the only ways of getting Star, I've never had a player with Star though, so I haven't really done any of the methods of getting it.

The next player I'm going to make needs the Star ability, I don't care how I get it, I just need it one way or the other. Can anyone describe what needs to be done in both of these to get the ability? I look through the Wiki and see no information on the Emily dating arcs, how many turns do you need to use with her and which options do you choose to get it done best? And the Fountain Ghost Wiki page is just a huge blank with "Fill in" written on it.

So... I may make a test player before the player I want to make, to find out how things may work, but if people can describe both of these arcs in a detailed and helpful enough way, I won't have to.

Ok dating emily,

1. About week 1 of March or April if you go to the park, you and Marvin will see Emily Asleep triggering her arc.
2. Roughly 2 weeks later her face shows over the park icon and when you go to the park there is a dog, choose act as a decoy
3. From there its pretty much waiting for a random event with her that triggers the dating sequences.

With regard to dating her I alternate between the park and the lookout. I start the sequence by going to the park. The first date at the lookout you and Emily meet a girl who asks to go on your shoulders to look down on the town. Next date go to park. The second date at the lookout she asks to go on your shoulders again and then she calls 4-5 other kids to do the same. Next date go to park. Save here. Now go to lookout and again the girl will ask to go on your shoulders if you say yes again she invites the other kids as well. If you save load at this point you can get star. This method is alot easier than the ghost in the park one. However If you are looking to get intimidator or other abilities from the other girls to go with star you will need to get star from the ghost in the park.

This was Erics reply to me when I asked about the ghost fountin star ability. I've edited a few words.... Sorry Eric

It's a pain in the ****. It usually requires lots of S/L . . . well, one S and lots of L. I have done it a couple of times, but usually just throw in the towel and move on. Here is how it goes:
- (RE) Marvin triggers the arc when he mentions a "mysterious ghost by the fountain,” then;
- (RE or visit park) You go to the park at night and listen to her story, then;
- (RE) She tracks you down in the street at night and pleasantries are exchanged, then;
- (RE) You can’t get to sleep at night and decide to resolve the issue at the park;
^ That’s the scene where you get Star, so S/L after you see her in the street.
- (RE) You see her in the Park, she introduces you to her boyfriend the dog, and returns to Heaven, arc finished.
^ You would think this would be the scene where you would get Star, but nope. So it’s pointless.

This is generally one of the last things you will do during Success mode, so I recommend telling Joey “no” when he appears. Same with Marvin and the cave expedition, unless you need Sparkplug. Preventing those stories from unfolding when you are S/L for the Ghost sequence will make it easier.

It's funny that when I was making this topic, I stopped for a moment and thought to myself "I bet Eric Davis is going to be the one to respond to this and help me". :P

So I guess I'll probably just go for getting it from Emily, I could use intimidator or something for the player that I'm making, but I wasn't sure if I would be able to manage doing that long arc and still get the stats I wanted. I was thinking about doing the ghost method to save turns when getting the ability. But when you consider that you get it from reloading over and over again on an event that I haven't even seen once yet... That sounds more tedious than reloading for the sole purpose of getting Dr.Goodjob to show up, and be successful.

Fielders: she gives spider catch (at completing of her arc and getting 100% likability) this at the end of success mode

Pitchers: she gives Battler and fastball life 4 at end of her arc.

For both she does also give durability 4 on first date at park.

On second meeting with her you can get increase in running speed when instead of act as a decoy you run away. These ate just a few by the way. She also gives a bat at Xmas when you give a gift

It's useless dating Emily, why? You can earn Battler from franks arc, and you can get good sense at any time during the arc. I've gotten good sense when frank invited marvin and my character for 8roast ball. And you can earn Dr.K in game easily if you use the psychic goggles.

You don't need to. I've gotten it with all the pitchers on my Skyhawks team and they didn't have the doctor K glove.
