In an extremely boring match, West Brom held us to a 0-0 draw. Creating chances remains an issue for us as we go into the Capital One Cup match vs. Hull City.

On the bright side, the defense has been nothing short of stellar!

Definitely, tied for 3rd for least goals allowed, but last in goals for. Hopefully our forwards can be stronger on the ball and create more opportunities, or we'll be in big trouble.

We are through to the fourth round of the League Cup after a 2-0 clean sheet victory over Hull! The strikers played wonderfully, and Brad Guzan shined once again. We face struggling Liverpool in our next match.

Liverpool are performing just as bad as we are this season, with the same amount of points but an even worse goal differential. We can pull three points out of this one if we can break through their midfield.

Match Events:
38': Liverpool GOAL: James Milner
59': Liverpool GOAL: Roberto Firmino
63': Aston Villa GOAL: Carles Gil

FINAL SCORE:
Liverpool 2
Aston Villa 2

Aston Villa Player Ratings:
GK Guzan: 6.4
LB Westwood: 7.2
CB Gentiletti: 5.7
CB Rodriguez: 5.3
CB Richards: 6.1
RB Bacuna: 6.4

RM Gil: 7.2
CAM N'Zogbia: 7.0
ST Ayew: N/A

It was a slow start, but our attack was able to create enough chances to force a 2-2 draw. A disappointing result, but at least we got a point.

Unbelievable... Losing to the worst side in the league... I screamed and yelled at the boys in the dressing room. We have a 2 week break before we take on league leaders Chelsea... Hopefully we can park the bus and hold them as much as we can.
