Ok, just as an experiment, I maxed all computer abilities to the highest they can be in season mode and started the next game against the Yankees, expecting to lose, and guess what, I won! For the first time ever, I was thinking and strategizing the entire game, and I even figured out my weak points and strong points. I've realized I can't hit the high, inside, or high and inside fastballs, AND I've figured out the best place to throw a slider is high. I'm going to continue to play games like this and see how it goes.

Good for you! I'm playing on expert/all-star levels and I'm already strategizing, i.e., playing for one run, sac fly, etc. I win all of my games anyway.

Ok so I did what you did Chicubs and put everything on all-star(I'm not good enough for poweful), I was my sucess team that I have up on wiki and I was facing Boston in game 1 of the ALDS at my home field in Hawaii. That game lasted 18 innings and i finally won on a walk-off, I went through 8 pitchers. I'm tired from that game

Also, here is a tip. Hitting the ball further towards the right (If your righty) it will push the ball. The center pulls the ball/pushes it to center field. Throw hard pitches high, slow pitchers low. Dont ever throw down the middle or anywhere near that. Don't throw the same pitch twice in a row. Try to use all your pitches, except for Rivera :) Try to field your position the way you are going to pitch. Try inside pitches or backdoor pitches to dangerous batters (Ortiz) Avoid pitchers with good fastball and poor breaking ball as the higher the level, it would seem impossible to strikeout the batter with a 95 mph heat.

my tip is just don't be afraid to push the ball to the opposite field. When the pitcher throws a curveball or other breaking pitch, I make sure to center the cursor and I almost always smack a hit to the opposite field.

Except when a changeup comes. Then I just crush it. :D

Pretty solid advice. No wonder I sucked so much when I tried playing haha
