First off, apologies if this topic has been posted on here, but I just thought I'd bring it up.

I was creating a new team in season mode and, somehow, accidentally selected "no" on the option for "player improvement" in the initial season mode settings. (These are the ones you can't change later on, so you either live with them or recreate the season.)

Anyway, I had just done a dream draft and had already completed a number of trades before I realized, "hey, what happened to the practice button??". I found out the hard way that turning the "player improvement" option off removes the practice from season mode which, incidentally, also turns off the ability to rest your players or buy things like hotdog or powerin from the shop.

Initially, I was hesistant to continue the season mode with this option turned off, but now that I'm already halfway through the season, I've kinda come to like it. Here's a few key things this option changes and how it ends up making the season mode in MLB PP harder:

1) Since "practice" and "rest" are no longer an option, the fatigue meter for older players and everyday players will gradually increase (based on use) until completely full. This means more chances at injuries and purple faces.

2) However, this will also give you a chance to play some of those AAA players that might typically sit on the bench a whole season. In essence, this is closer to a real MLB season where players get more worn down as the season progresses. It also encourages the player to fill out the 40 man roster since you'll probably need every player on your roster at some point or another.

3) I cannot confirm this 100%, but it appears that the fatigue meter will decrease slightly if you move a player to the AAA roster. The fatigue meter also resets during the All-Star break, the same way it does when "player improvement" is enabled.

Anyone else done the same thing? What is your feeling about this option?

That's interesting.
Good to know that there's a use for AAA.

If you rest a player then his fatigue meter goes down some too right?

Try that with an expansion team with trading on hard mode.
