I am thinking that much of last years Season Mode is going to be the same again. Not having played the Japanese versions before, I am not sure on the history of this. Any thoughts? If it stayed the same that would be cool, but some improvements would be nice.

Some things I would like to see in season mode:
-More stadiums
-AAA being more than a holding area-make it so you can view minor league stats
-Faster schedule button
-More options for fast game
-Way more free agents.

The ending of season mode is always bittersweet. Make it better?
Also I don't get why she has to look for a new GM....well I know
they have to wrap the story up but still....a 10 year dynasty...
Oh since it takes 10 years you and your secretary are around
30....
Remember in the beginning when the secretary says something like,
"Is he my type?" it never branches off from that.

I would like to see more than 10 years and more items.

Stadium Upgrades like fireworks for homeruns and adding more seats or maybe a Create a Ballpark feature.

I would also like a password input section where you could put in a password during the season instead of saving exiting and then going into my data.

More free agents would be nice and fan input to the games.

It sounds like they're taking care of the minor league problem by having a full 40 man roster rather than what they have this year.

It'll be interesting to see how they expand the game for the dedicated GM mode. It would be pretty boring to be just the GM if Season Mode is as shallow in 2008 as it is in 2007.

I think with MLB Life mode, you'll be able to go 20-25 seasons, so hopefully that will be the case in straight up Season Mode as well. One of the downsides to only 10 years is that you don't get to really manage the franchise through transition periods where star players are getting old and retiring or being replaced by players you've drafted and "brought up through the system" (aka stuck them in practice for a couple of years). That's a significant limitation IMHO.

I think the 40-man roster might be same it is now. Technically, there is still a 40-man roster. There's the 25 on the MLB team, and the AAA team can hold 15.

I think that they mean 40 MLB players, which will be nice. A lot, but good

I think Season Mode is 10 years again, sadly. I do want to see what kind of numbers my Success characters could put up over 20 years. Hall of Fame type stuff.

I'd also like to see other Success Characters go through the arc with you. What could Marvin do with a full career in the Pros?

I think the 40-man roster would be the same, though.
There's no way there'd be an active, MLB 40-man roster. That wouldn't follow the MLB rules. Only 25 active for MLB, with the other 15 there just to sort out transactions, making them easier, as well as impacting the Rule V draft.

I'm pretty sure you are right because one of the pictures shows 25 players in MLB and 9 in AAA...

Maybe by 40 man roster they mean that you would start out with 40 players, MLB and AAA combined, instead of only like 35

I really don't think that Season is going to change that much, if at all. Looks like the same graphics and everything. There may be a wrinkle or two, but otherwise it will probably be much the same as 2007.

Wait I think this may be it. You can either have a 25-man or 40-man roster. That means that in the 40 man roster, all of the players are in MLB instead of bieng in both MLB and AAA.
Maybe??????? :?

Highly doubtful. It's more than likely exacty like the '07 ediion. If they changed it, then great, but I'd be happy if they just brought Jack back in the studio to do some more audio work. Sadly, this also probably won't happen.

Here's what I want improved in Season Mode:

- Better view of minor league players and stats
- Actual Spring Training Stadiums
- All teams jerseys including alternate, not just home and road
- More free agents
